Too bad the action sucked.

I honestly thought the action would be what would make this movie halfway enjoyable, it didn't. This movie fails at even meeting my minimum expectations. You can say what you want about Transformers but that was a movie you could sit back, turn your brain off, and enjoy. If you turn your brain off during this film all you will see is a bunch of random stuff happening on screen. It fails as a summer blockbuster. This movie will tank in the US. I can't imagine the audience that will see this film, much less enjoy it.

We do live in a country where Lil Wayne is relevant and the auto tune is actually MUSIC?! so... don't be surprised if it breaks even, but yea I hope not

From a technical standpoint, this movie is terrible in every possible way. I already gave up on a faithful Dragon Ball adaptation when I saw the first trailer, and I was hoping for something along the lines of the first X-Men film: Not very faithful, but at least it's a good movie. I didn't even get that.

Well everyone has there own opinions and i think you are bashing the movie just to find a problem with it, you having nothing good to say about it at all shows that. And the first x-men movie wasnt a very good movie imo, but had some decent moments.

I agree the first X-Men movie wasn't very good, but it's way above this film.

And I did enjoy some things. I actually enjoyed Chow Yun Fat but it was more because he was Chow Yun Fat then because he was doing a good job playing Roshi. I also thought some of Goku's scenes felt like Goku like when he asks if Bulma is Piccolo, but they are overshadowed by the fact in this version he is a angsty love-sick high schooler.

If you think I am just looking to hate it, you are wrong. Nothing would have made me happier then a decent DB film. I think you are looking too hard to defend it.

I have always remained positive about this movie throughout, but now having seen it, i'm afraid i can't any longer.

I've been pissed off all afternoon about it, i feel so let down by it.

I don't think the cast is that bad, but the script, the rushed pace, bad editing and pointless story changes, as a whole combined, just turn out into one big mess.

The oozaru didn't need to be in there a all, i wouldn't have even bothered with it until further on into the franchise.For what that scene was, it wasn't worth it.

It is just all too rushed, i mean Yamcha might as well not of been in it, he didn't fight or nothing, i think Park was good, it's a shame the script didn't think so.

Why bother with the tournament scene either, how quick was it, i was hoping for a proper tourny scene with everybody fighting and the infamous MC with the hair and shades.

It was like watching a Scrapbook.

Yes it was to short (for what ever reason) yes seemed rushed(also prob due to length) i think the biggest gripe i had with this movie is the length and what was packed into it, but other than that everything else was ok - good. but not FF or catwoman bad.

It is that bad. The pace, the editing, the acting, the plot, the CGI, it's horrendous. That's just looking at this atrocity from a technical standpoint.

This movie was rated PG. FF4 was rated PG-13. How is this adult themed in any way, especially in comparison to FF4? Maybe the suggestions of Roshi's pervertedness but even Rise of the Silver Surfer had Johnny suggesting Ben was going to kill Alicia in a "rockslide". Also, this movie didn't have decent action, and I really am wondering if people saw a different film with some good action scenes because this film did not have decent action.

And I would consider this on the level of Fantastic Four. Maybe a little bit lower but I'm so angry at how bad this movie is that my frustration might be making me underestimate how bad the FF films were. At least the FF films managed to do the Human Torch and Thing right. The true personalities of the DB characters are only hinted at. They both fall into the same category though: bastardizations by Fox that weren't even decent movies.

GTFO FF was a **** film sure but its certainly better than this piece of crap, I would put this in the same league as Catwoman but with Catwoman as the more horrible of the two.

I did just that and it fails as a stand alone movie, hell if you aren’t knowledgeable about Dragonball lore than this film comes of as mighty confusing.

Solid 7/10

As for where it stands compared to other movies, I'd say it's slightly better than transformers, on par with spidey 1, (in fact, it's very similar to spidey 1 but doesn't take itself as seriously), No where near star wars, so don't even think it. Um, it's about as good as speed racer I guess. If you liked that, you'll certainly like this and ****.

You must be on drugs if you think this is better than Transformers and on par with Spiderman 1.

7 out of 10? wow... I guess you like this type of movies. Did you happen to rate Street Fighter The Movie 8 out of 10 by any means?

By the way, that geica or goice japanese site, doesnt mean the movie is rated 4 out of 5. It means its "want to see" its logical that people were expecting this movie, but after seeing this crap I bet they also felt insulted by this atrocity.

This movie CANT be defended. Those defending this are either on denial or have poor tastes. Im sorry but im being honest. Jump on me if you want.

well i felt same way about both flicks so i dont know wat to tell ya, i felt differently about DB, im not trying to put it up on some pedestal but its not as bad as some are saying IMO.
