I personally think give 1 to this movie is bias, from the internet bootleg, is unfair, i understand the script is poor, the actors lines are poor, special effects are good, the music is good, the fights have nothing to do with the manga anime, The movie has funny moments, it needs character explanation, it lack scenes were the characters came from, and the last final battle should have be the part to save the movie, but it let you dispointed because is short, still to give 1 to this movie make movies like meet the spartan, Date movie, dont mess with the Zohan, etc 0.0001; to me this movie is 4 to 5 of 10, and i repeat IF is true that the U.S.A and Europe gets 10 minutes more than asia, i hope is a good minutes more on the final fight, and make this final fight better, it could get a 6.

IMO, i repeat this, Phantom menace is worst

The UK time is officially 83 minutes and 55 seconds.
There is only 10 minutes from the beginning missing the grandpa and Goku fight and the intro to Piccolo. I don't get how that will improve the movie at all. The special effects were the least of its problems (the acting, story, action all sucked)

It this is true, that the extra minutes is on the grandpa Gohan vs Goku then it wont improve nothing, the intro of piccolo is ok. How do you know is only this on the extra minutes?

The movie is 88 minutes in asia, so there is nothing officially of 83 minutes, if this is true too, it sucks

I don't get this logic that we can't rate this film a 1 because there are worse movies out there in the history of cinema. We should be rating a movie based on its own merits, not comparing it to things that came before. Dragonball Evolution is a horrific mess up there with Street Fighter (also a 1) as the worst movie of the year and the only redeeming thing is the score. Even the effects are terrible. It fully deserves a 1, IMO.

It would be like film critics refusing to give The Godfather a 10 on the basis of Citizen Kane being better, and because Citizen Kane is a 10 no other film in history can be a 10. (I prefer The Godfather to Kane, but the consensus amongst critics is that Kane is the best film ever made). It would be absolutely terrible if people started rating films with that logic.

You should use a not so good scene as an analogy to get the point across.

the bootleg that people saw was missing the beginning. it was missing the 10 minutes.
it was recorded in the theater and the first 10 minutes he didnt use hes camera.

The dead of Qui Gon is lame, the way it was separate with a stupid force field, does the ligthsaber supose to pass everything?, and the dead of Darth Maul is aggh, he just was standing staring how obiwan kill him, just kids got satisfied with that, and they when jumping that scen with worst scenes like Jar Jar saying Big Bummers, Admidala traping the guys from the federation, and the stupid scene of anakin getting in the Robot station that is supose to have a force shield up, man nothing in that movie is good, i stay in my opinion that Phantom menace is a worst movie.

In my opinion, yes, the only scene i considere descent is the race, but way too long.

I am sure many dont like it, but is not the worst movie ever as many think, movies like Dark Knight are 9-10 for me, movies like 300 are 8, movies like Watchmen are 7, DB is for 4 or 5 for me, movies like Epic movie, meet the spartan are 2,3; the 31 guys to vote 1 for DBE are bias, In my personal opinion. and that is why I open a new account.

Good actor, love him in Batman beggins and Schlinder list, Too wooden in Phantom menace, the lines were wooden, he didnt do much besides his fight with Maul.

Seriously, you have not made any point. All you are doing is whining. So people think its God awful and one of the worst movies ever made...that is their opinion. Giving this a 5/10 is, in my opinion, being pretty generous.

True, they probably feelt bad when they saw to much votes on 1/10 as i did, i think no movie in SSH has been threat like this. i did vote 5

The box office will determinate that, i want a better director, and good writers if they do.

For what i see, SHH forums members had allready watch this movie on the internet and wont watch it on cinema.

Long(er) review: Did anyone expect this to be ... Good? I know I didn't. To be honest, the movie didn't offend me or anything. It met my expectations, and I expected it to be terrible. It's just a throwaway movie.

Let's look at the facts here of this "7" people that voted DB:E a score of 10.

3 People voted to troll the people that voted a score of "1."
1 Person didn't understand the scale (1-10, 10 meaning "this movie gets 10 out of 10!!")
1 Person accidentally clicked "10" instead of "1" and ended up resetting their cookies so they could vote "1."
1 Person just voted anything just to see the results.

That counts for 6 votes, and with a margin of error of 1, that leaves us with no votes for DB:E being a "number 10 rating."

There, the internet can sleep sound again, everyone agrees this movie blows goats.

Myself, I hoped it would be good. What I did not expect was how bad it would turn out. Its as if a highschool film class did a movie project during one semester.

This movie is the parallel to the movie Dungeons & Dragons.
