One awesome movie I re-watched recently: Zodiac. I still believe this to be David Fincher's masterpiece. And I can never hear Donovan's "Hurdy Gurdy Man" without being creeped out now.

I need to see Zodiac. I think Fincher's other films are amazing, but I haven't seen this.

Here's the FP trailer if anyone wants to know. It's on netflix right now. It's...an experience.

as well as Rubber.

If you want to just shut your brain off and have some fun then watch any Michael Bay or Zack Snyder film, if you want to be entertained by something where you don't need to shut your brain off, then watch a Nolan film or one of Steven Spielberg's blockbusters, if you want something that makes you think then try a David Fincher or Kubrick film.

If you don't mind trully old films, like, with almost a hundred years old, then i allways recommend Metropolis

I wouldn't say any Zack Snyder film. His Watchmen, for instance, is a brilliant and highly ambitious little gem of an adaptation. You honestly wouldn't be getting the most out of it if you "shut your brain off" while viewing (not that such is even possible).

As a case in point, during one of the early sex scenes, Nite Owl isn't able to get it up when Silk Spectre II comes onto him: deep down, he's insecure about the fact that she clearly isn't over Doctor Manhattan. Later on, the two (Nite Owl and Silk Spectre) decide to suit up again for old times' sake. Now protected in the costume, Nite Owl, feels less vulnerable and quickly regains enough of his self-confidence to umm.. close the deal with Spectre in the Owlship. Great stuff from a psychological perspective!

Again, though, Watchmen's definitely not your typical non-stop action thrill ride; it's deeper and darker than that.

The entire Star Wars Saga (All six movies) FTW.:word:
