The Official Serenity Thread! (Make no more)

Indeed. The theatrical version of ROTK is 3 hours and counting, while the extended version is over 4 hours. Not even in the same ballpark.

If it had been any longer, it would have had the same running time as Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.

It was an hour and 54 mins long, it didnt even hit the 2 hour mark, no were near ROTK.

I might pick up the novel based on this flick in a few days. Is the novel good or is the movie a better choice to catch on dvd? Asking cause I have more time to read books than watch every dvd I want to watch. (I probably get the book, since I can read it while on lunch break).

Are you talking about the graphic novel that tighs in the series with the film or a book of the first season? Either way watch the DVDs and then read the graphic novel....IMO

Que???

The movie is just clocking in under 2 hours. Which kinda sucked since I love it so much I wished it was longer.

Is the Collecter's editon worth getting? I have the movie on dvd already but I always spring for extras if it's worth it.

Spring for the extras

Chiwetel Ejiofor gave my favorite performance in the movie. He's such a great actor. Nathan Fillion was also awesome.

Agreed, both very good.

Although I always thought the Firefly cast did a great job with the film such a great bunch of people.

the novel is good...has random references to Firefly eps, but it's still good.

the graphic novel is somewhat lacking in every way....

I'll pick up the novel on Monday. Unless if a bunch of Resident Evil books catch my eye, or maybe I get both.

Agreed, and they all very talented and deserve to be higher on the Hollywood ladder IMO. All of them were truly dedicated to the fans and the franchise, and all are genuinly nice people.

I wish them all the best of luck in the future.

Indeed.

I suppose if we're not gettning another movie or show, at least a limited run (like 12 issue) series that shows where Joss was planning to go after the movie Serenity and taking the characters there by comic at least.

it was worse why kaylee got shot:csad: :csad:

YOu know I felt sorry for her getting shot again lol first episode of Firefly she got shot and I was like no dont die lol and then shot again lol then Simon is hurt lol I was like NO ONE ELSE DIE! lol.

But I like the film but makes me sad, so I watch Firefly loads more

Wash :woot:

I think we were all certain Simon was going to die when he got shot, it was fortunately a death scene without a death scene.

But honestly, it did kind of f eel like the Wild Bunch at the end, so it worked.
