Ok guys, people are getting annoyed with our discussions in other threads and it's been getting off topic as it was constantly getting with Two-Face's outcome. So to prevent Trolling/Spamming there's this thread. Do you think Joker said Six or Ten? My opinion is he mouthed ten. After seeing it multiple times, I think he mouthed Ten in a sarcastic way to be a jackass to the cop so he would be pushed over the edge to come close enough to the Joker to hold the shard to his neck. Now to back up that statement, Joker does lie a lot, but I've provided two possible theories as to a possibility of him telling the truth.

1.
This is the Joker talking about what he was thinking before the chase.

Joker:You let 5 people die. Then you let Dent take your place. Even to a guy like me, thats cold!

During the chase itself, 5 MORE people died. That's what, 10?

2.
5 Dead in the chase scene
1 more mentioned by the cop
2 found dead by Batman and Gordon (Harvey and Dent)
1 Loeb
1 From the Helicopter

Also, by "friends" I think he meant cops in general. Ok guys, post your opinions on the matter. And please, keep it civil.

There was more than 1 person in the helicopter. How would the helicopter provide tactical support with just a pilot? There had to be others in the back, ready to fire shots at any trouble.

Hmm... that's actually an interesting point... 10 cops were killed but he interpreted it as a literal sense of "friends" and answered 6 whereas the joker thinks 10 because to him they are all the same? Correct me if I am wrong.

Why the hell wouldn't you think that? The guy probably doesn't know how many cops Joker killed. I'm sure Joker killed a lot more cops in between Begins and TDK. I'd bet he killed more than 10 cops total.

i mean it could go either way...
he could be mocking the detective because he said 6 or he could say 10 because he counted 10 murdered because they are all the same...
i still think this is a good discussion ...

Long-time lurker, but haven't done much posting.

Has anyone considered that he says neither 6 nor 10? I've seen the film 4 times now, and it looks much more like a facial gesture that mockingly says "yikes" or "ouch", thusly appearing all the more belligerent.

He said it/mouthed it in a mocking sense as if he was saying "Oh man, I killed six of your friends? That's a lot. Aren't you mad at me and don't you want to beat the snot out of me?"

Remember, he was trying to get a rise out of him so he could get out of the interrogation room. I think if it had been ten, he would have said it aloud so as to audibly correct him, to emphasize the correct number.
