If you would play the game, you go there for the first Scorpion mission. However you don't really go there, you use a slingshot (Which isn't there outside of the mission) and shoot towards it, then it cuts to a cinema and you are then inside of the place.
It's there just to be there, you can't explore it,
ahhh that makes much more sense. i dont have the game myself yet, but my roomate does.. and i've been watching him play it.
im kinda dissapointed with the city this time to be honest... they added alot of stuff that make it much much more amazing, but they took out alot of stuff they really had no reason to.
-Island Hopping to statue of liberty and ellis island
-sky scraper token hunts (i actually had fun looking for these, and there was alot so it didn't get that frustrating)
-st. peters cathedral (they put it in both spidey 2 and ultimate spider-man games) im shocked they cut it out
-and i still get pissd that rockafeller center has yet to be in any game at all. i can understand not putting GE on the building that is shaped like the GE building in midtown, but not putting the icescating rink and statue....
I really wish the games also took into account the time and date aspect you set your system too.. how awsome would it be if Night and day happened real time, as well as season. How friggin awsome would it be to be in new york in winter and snow is everywhere?
also like simpson's road rage, certain cars are unlocked on certain holidays.. take that aspect into the visual aspects of NYC....
-Thanksgiving (the floats and balloons from spider-man one are in times square)
-Christmas (not only in winter does rockafeller center have the skating rink, but on christmas, theres the big christmas tree and its all lit up)
-Halloween, the streets have kids walking around dressed up, and some even as spider-man and other marvel heroes/villains
-Newyears, (ball drops real time)
-valentines day (suburbs like greenich village etc, have decorations up, maybe a special MJ mission on that day)
-st. patricks day, drunks on the street, and irish decorations in areas
-easter (central park has easter eggs)
-4th of july (fireworks light up newyork the whole night)
-the empire state building would also have its lights lit up colors to the corresponding holiday colors, like they do in real life
