^Around the mid-90's, right when Onslaught showed up.
You dont remember when the Excalibur castoffs joined the team in the late 90s? That happened during the Cerebro's X-men story. He was added to Excalibur to make the team more like the X-men. It was during the Ellis run and Excalibur definetly felt like the European X-men. Here was that amazing lineup, minus DaytripperWas Colossus ever a member of Excalibur? Like any time between his time as an Acolyte to returning to the X-Men? For some reason I have that image in my head.
Actually it was several issues ebfore Onslaught. He ws already on the team when that story happened^Around the mid-90's, right when Onslaught showed up.
Nope. The Avengers and Batman are owned by different companies. Batman is in the Justice League.
Man, now i feel really dumb... I thought this was litterally a STUPID question thread.
I completely knew bats is in DC.. sorry for wasting time
I for some reason thought this was a thread about asking pointless ?s and having a laugh about it..
Kind of reminds me of the time my teacher had said there is no such this as a stupid question and i raised my hand and said "mrs, whats a question?" :b
I guess it depends on what you're definition of "fun" is. Dan Slott is doing some good stuff with Amazing Spider-Man. Nothing too heavy, not taking itself too seriously- I mean right now Spidey's trying to protect all of Manhattan infected with spider powers! But it still delivers, I think. I've also heard good things about Waid's new Daredevil. Murdock is finally given a break from the whole "tortured Catholic" angle, more lighthearted, but he's making sure not to ignore stuff like Shadowland. If you're interested in the X-Men you can pick the regularly titled "X-Men". Random teammates go on adventures with different heroes of the regular MU (not my personal choice though). Are there any genuinely fun Marvel books to read out there right now? Something akin to Greg Pak's "The Incredible Hercules"?
I actually never read Excalibur, but yeah I don't know how I forgot Pete, Kurt, and Kitty returning after the team disbanded. Maybe I just thought he was doing a solo thing this whole time after Avalon burned...You dont remember when the Excalibur castoffs joined the team in the late 90s? I kind of lost respect for Spider-Man after the whole One More Day/One Moment In Time/Brand New Day crap (I know, blame Quesada & the writing pool, not the character - and I still say his new girlfriend his lame), and the X-Men just feel... ugly to me now. But this endorsement of "Daredevil" sounds interesting so I shall look into that.I guess it depends on what you're definition of "fun" is. Dan Slott is doing some good stuff with Amazing Spider-Man. well like i said Spiderman is all about levity right now. so if you still enjoy the character and if you ever change your mind (and believe me i wasnt a fan of OMD/BND either) id say its worth checking out. as for X-Men, the adjectiveless title works independently from the general status quo main series. still in continuity just without the extra baggage. like right now theyre trapped in the Bermuda Triangle with the FF fighting dinosaurs, so...yeah. you also may wanna check out Secret Avengers under Ellis. its only been one issue so far, much lighter tone compared to Brubaker's dark espionage book, and from what i understand it's gonna be a series of done-in-one's.I kind of lost respect for Spider-Man after the whole One More Day/One Moment In Time/Brand New Day crap (I know, blame Quesada & the writing pool, not the character - and I still say his new girlfriend his lame), and the X-Men just feel... ugly to me now. As for "fun", well, I guess the opposite of Civil War/Siege/Fear Itself/the aforementioned Spidey arcs, etc. I don't mind well written drama, but I also like some well timed levity with my superhero adventures as well (which is why, honestly, I'm starting to find the films and cartoons like Avengers: EMH more fun than the actual comics).
Yeah back when Colossus was all crazy. He showed up in Excalibur right in the middle of seeing Pete Wisdom making out with Kitty Pryde and promptly beat his ass. Wisdom spent the next few issues in a wheel chair occasionally pretending to be Professor Xavier just to tick off Moria MacTaggert. Was Colossus ever a member of Excalibur? Like any time between his time as an Acolyte to returning to the X-Men? For some reason I have that image in my head.
I read Alpha Flight for Aroura's crazyness. I want to she her and Scarlet Witch team up and talk crazy then discuss their arrogant speedster overprotective twin brothersI'd say Journey into Mystery is your best bet for a fun, light read every month. Waid's Daredevil is also very good and in that same vein. You could also try Alpha Flight, which is by Greg Pak and Fred Van Lente, the same writing team from Incredible Hercules. I haven't read that one myself, though. Thunderbolts and Avengers Academy are also consistently great reads, although they're not always as lighthearted and they're big enough series that they tend to get caught up in crossovers. X-Factor's usually a good, solid read every month, but their adventures are a bit more off the beaten path. You kind of have to already like the characters to some extent in order to care about that comic.
Yeah, I probably should have said "around the time" instead of "right when." I had been trying to get all the Onslaught crossover issues at that time (I was young), and Excalibur was one of them.Actually it was several issues ebfore Onslaught. He ws already on the team when that story happened
Yes, X-Factor. Absolutely. An X-title that I would say that could rival the fun compared to stuff like Hercules would probably be X-Factor. There's drama, but there's plenty of laughs as well. I don't think there's been an issue recently where I don't at least get a couple of good laughs from it.
Like who hasn't Wolverine banged over the years?I would place a lot of money on her and Wolverine banging at some point.
well they do have a past history. I wouldnt be surpised if its revealed that they hadI would place a lot of money on her and Wolverine banging at some point.
