Either way it was s**t and should be avoided. :o

When Aunt May was revealed to be alive and not dead i.e. ASM 400, how did Peter's friends and family adjust to that? Did anyone in ASM question her not-deadness, or did she just come back into the fold no questions asked?

I just read FF 2 and i would like to know what the hell is up with Val? She want's Doom's help to defeat Reed? Why the hell does she want that? Does she hate him?
Does she only want to defeat him scientifically or does she want to kill him?

She wants to pull him ahead to her level for his own good. A misguided decision only a 4 year old would make.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

Val's massive intellect is outstripped only by her naivete and inexperience.

Why is Shadow King so obsessed with Storm? Granted she can control the weather which would come in handy, but wouldn't his efforts be better spent trying to control Jean or Wanda, or Rachel or Nate with their unreached potentials?

In which story did a bunch of Marvel heroes get a mountain dropped on them and the Hulk held it up, so it didn't crush them?

Secret Wars

and it was both Hulk and Iron Man (Rhodie) who held up the Mountain.

I thought he was obsessed with the Prof, and she is just a reminder of that time Chuck Wagon spanked his ass on the Astro Plane. :o

How good is Cap and Bucky?

I've been thinking of reading it, but I can't decide if it's worth it.

For one, maybe bc she isnt a telepath? I dont think he'd have much of a chance going after Jean, Nate or Rachel as they'd be able to put up quite a fight. Considering he's purely psionic, the only way to hurt him is on the astral plane and looking at the past, its the power of the telepaths which have been able to stop him. Why focus on Storm? I dont know. Maybe its personal now, bc she was able to evade him years ago when she was a kid and its all about revenge and having control over her

What? Cyclops and Storm are stirring up a ship? How exactly is Emma and T'Challa taking this? Lemme guess, they don't know...

It's been pretty good so far. It was initially focused on Steve and Bucky from Bucky's perspective, but now that Steve's got Captain America and Bucky's moving over to The Winter Soldier, it's moving onto other Cap/Bucky teams. The most recent issue was a part-present-day, part-flashback story featuring William Naslund and Fred Davis.

So I keep seeing all these Secret Avengers promos with Hank Pym/Ant Man. When did he switch from being "Wasp"?

He was Giant Man again during Avengers Academy, so I guess if he's gonna be in Secret Avengers as Ant Man, that would be new. (Or old.....whatevs.)

No, he's joining the Secret Avengers, but he's doing so as Giant-Man. He's been Giant-Man again for about a year now. I'm pretty sure Eric O'Grady is staying with the Secret Avengers as Ant-Man as well, though. Should be fun to have those two play off each other again. Their Ant-Man and the Wasp mini was pretty good.

Seems kinda weird to have a giant guy on a secret team. But I guess Hank's gonna do more science-y stuff than giant stomping

Probably best to keep Remender's "spy-fi" term in mind. "Under the radar" for the Avengers is not really the same as "under the radar" for most other organizations. ;)

Yeah, A battle on the Blue Area of the Moon with a Shi-Ar Death cult still counts as Clandestine if Anderson Cooper isn't there to report on it.

Technically, the Kree/Skrull War would've probably fallen under the Secret Avengers' purview if they were around back then. I mean, the Kree and the Skrulls weren't directly attacking Earth. They were secretly fighting each other for the right to make Earth a part of their supply line.

I think older marvel, a lot of it was set under the pretenses that the comic world should be similar to our world...so there were quite a few conflicts secret to the general population.

Operation galactic storm was one too

Hell, most of their missions were pretty secret to the GP.

I mean, I don't see them holding a press conference to let the people know that they just helped some aliens beat up a Kree Armada.

As they aren't an assassination squad I think the secret part is for their enemies, once they're in it there's no need not to go big if you will. It's the infiltration thing that they use for secret not that no one can know they exist.

If Thor were to ever remain King of Asgard for all eternity, would he get his own "Thor Sleep" period like his dad had "The Odin Sleep"?

Of course he would have to do the whole sleep cycle thing. He did it while he was King of Asgard.
