Can someone explain to me please why Prof. X can walk now??

S**t, he's been walking for like.....6 years. I don't think I even remember how that happened......I think Wanda did it when House of M ended.....could be wrong.

chances are, he'll be back in a wheel chair again soon. ****er cannot catch a break.

In the latest AvX, all the Secret Avengers are in space. Beast is in a shuttle but the rest are out in space with no special gear (save War Machine who has his armor). Ms. Marvel however is wearing a space suit. Ugh, why? Cant she travel in space? I thought she was capable of intergalactic travel due to her Kree DNA

It was Wanda. I don't know if they outright and explain it, but I'm sure it was the whole "give them their hearts desire" deal and it just happened to stick after everything was put back to normal.

It was never outright said, but I think someone assumed it was part of some joke Wanda had played. She gave Charles the ability to walk, but she took away his powers at the same time. Somehow getting thrown into the M'Kraan crystal restored his powers, but didn't reverse Wanda's walking spell.

Charles has spent more time walking in the last decade than in a wheelchair. He got the ability to walk early in Morrison's run when Xorn healed him (around 2001), lost it toward the end of Morrison's run (2004), and gained it back the next time we saw him in Deadly Genesis (2006).

The wheelchair is so insignificant to identifying him now. Just let him walk and leave him alone.

Charles can walk. Rogue can touch people. Meanwhile, the average X-Men fan will still throw a fit if you suggest Cyclops be able to control his powers. I remember the rants during Whedon's run and the collective sigh of relief at the end.

You know what? I choose to believe Cyclops can still control his powers. He just chooses to wear the visor so people still think it's a vulnerability. It's not like a reason was ever given for why he put his visor back on at the end of "Unstoppable."

I agree. I would like to see him have full control over his power. He does look cool with the visor, he should keep it no matter what.

Chuck is better out of the wheelchair too. He's not a physical threat standing upright anyway, no need for the chair. Let the guy be mobile, his power is all mental anyway.

On the subject of X-men, I haven't read it in a while, but with the recent vampires running about, how can Jubilee stay in the sunlight and not, y'know die/burn/explode like the guy who turned her?

Well it sure looks like Wanda screwed up the whole MU pretty bad. :/
I'll be needing a list of things that were canon before she changed them, if she did.

Okay, been out of the loop since "Fear Itself, and just started reading AvX. When did Thor come back?

Giving Charles back the ability to walk was one of the good things she did when she went crazy, along with giving Wolverine all of his memories back (not that anyone did anything with that after the first year).

Wanda didn't have anything to do with Rogue's powers, by the way. Ol' Chuck just finally sat down with her and they found a way for her to control them. And while I'm on the subject of our favorite super Southern belle, her real name is Anna-Marie. There. The entire illusion has collapsed after a mere few decades.

RE: Rogue's name: I never really got why it was a huge mystery anyway.

Most of the mysteries behind Rogue were pointless. She was already a good character without all that nonsense.

I bet it was one of those things where nobody bothered to give her a real name at first, and then it just became this huge mystery as future writers took over.

Claremont and Lobdell were the one's that ignored it for so long. Wasn't it Claremont that revealed her name in X-Treme X-Men?

He gave her the name Anna Raven, which was likely just an alias she came up with, probably having to do with her mom, Mystique. Her real name was revealed in the first arc of her last solo series.

Is this a real comic? I found it in my saved pictures and have no idea where it came from.
