The RT scores really make me question if I'm going to spend money on this film. More often than not my taste tend to fall in line with RT for the most part. If this is the 3rd film made for only hardcore DC-fanboys then I'm not going to enjoy it. I was really looking forward to the DCCU since I don't have an attachment to these characters like I do with Marvel but I think DC really screwed the pooch doing the jumping into an already evolved universe that only fanboys will love. I know they were in a damned if they do and damned if the don't situation.

WB has not earned my money on OW to see these films yet.
At least give it a chance. Every movie deserves at least that.

RottenTomatoes really needs to add more YouTube reviewers or You Reviewers or whatever the hell they're called. I feel like those are the some of the biggest movie critics anyway

well a lot of Youtube reviewers were not really positive about BvS either....maybe that'll change with Squad.

The RT score is disheartening, to say the least. I'm still going to give this flick a chance because I really want to love it. I've been rooting for this movie to turn out great.

This RT score being only slightly better than BvS is a really bad sign for DC and WB, though. :(

I could care less about the RT score. People should judge the film on its own merits rather than be influenced so heavily by critics IMO.

I'm not saying fire the critics or anything crazy, but their opinions really should not count any more than each of ours.

One's own opinion is the most important one, of course ... But a lot of people do turn to critics and sites like RT to see if a movie is "worth" checking out in theaters, whether any of us like that or not.

Me and a bunch of friends already bought a tickets a couple weeks ago so we're definitely going, while it is sad its not getting praised, i still hope i can find some enjoyment out of it. :yay:

F*** it, I hated it - I'm going to kill it with fire at midnight-ish - if you haven't bought tickets yet downgrade to matinee #SuicideSquad

Damn she defended BVS like it was her first born, this must be some next level stuff for her to hate it this much.

for real? she has to be joking...

*sigh* Keep the hope alive, folks.

This is all WB's meta-plan to prepare us for Superman's resurrection. Hope. It means hope.

Opinions are entirely subjective. So your opinion is as valid. However, Unless your opinion is expressed and broadcast or published for the masses to see/read. then naturally their opinions count more.
When a majority of educated cinema goers have a similar opinion, then very generally speaking, there is a fair to high chance you will feel the same.
But most importanly, poor reviews have a big influence on word of mouth and casual movie goers end up avoiding the film based on reviews.
I know a lot of people who avoided BvS because of the poor reception. These were people that were going to see it until the movie was actually released and the reviews came out.

Reviews are pretty important for families. If you're gonna shell out god knows how much money for 4-5 tickets (potentially IMAX tickets) plus food, you're not gonna do that for just any blockbuster.

I personally find Grace Randolph to be a moron, so this review might as well be a good sign for me. :funny:

Honestly, I just want two things from this movie at this point: A fun time at the movies, and an awesome Harley Quinn.

but the DCEU aint for families bro, dis is for adults bro...:woot:

RT scores mean very little in the grand scheme of things for a film's success. Take the Transformers films for instance. They have gotten nothing but rotten scores, a couple of them in the teens, yet they still have a rabid audience that can't wait until the next one comes out. Bet you anything this next one clocks $1.3 billion without breaking a sweat.

DC needs to find the audience for their films and, sadly, the movie reviewers nor casual comic book movie fan hasn't warmed up to what they are offering. It seems to only appeal to hardcore DC and comic book fans, not the general public. If you want great RT scores, that's who you should aim for, the general public.

Transformers has been on the downturn domestically. It's growing internationally which is why it's done so well.

It's also the only franchise people can bother to come up with in terms of critically slammed blockbuster franchises that flourish (except Pirates which has a similar domestic/international situation). Where are all the others if reviews truly don't matter? Hell, look at the Furious franchise that managed to turn into a monster after it started to generate critical acclaim - and then bigger receipts.

If the RT score is very high, then fans will use it to justify how awesome the movie is, but if it's terrible then the same people will dismiss it as biased or unimportant. It never changes.

Reviews are usually pretty meaningless for me. I like what I like and don't likd what I don't like.
