I wish we would hear some names other than hammer, joe, and porter. You would think that folks who tested, but were told no, would be talking about it.. at least a slip of the tongue or something.

I can see Rupert Grint going for Jimmy Olsen now that Harry Potter is over. I'm sure WB would be happy to use him.

I don't think anyone has tested yet. Snyder won't be getting into the thck of it until he finishes Sucker Punch. If he's done with it now I don't know, but I'm not expecting anything for a while.

I'm pretty sure that they are at least looking for Superman candidates right now. And we're already getting information on filiming locations, which obviously Snyder will need to have a lot of input in.

Wouldnt mind Rupert for Jimmy at all, but I dont think the generel audience would buy it, especially if he had an american accent. I think I myself would think of it as Ron impersonating an american.

It depends on how good of an actor he is. Thunderpants was the first film I saw him in after Harry Potter and he came across as a completely different character, and he was about 11 years old when he did that.

I'd be suprised if they had not yet already made a decision so far.

That is why they have a casting director. Its not like Snyder has to be knee deep in things to take his pic of the best the casting director has to offer.

Even then it may not be up to Snyder, he may just work with whoever the studio casts, as this is likely to be a much more studio controlled film.

Actually Scott Porter was originally offered the role. He even tried on the suit! the reason he lost out to CE was because execs felt he was too much of an unknown to start a franchise!

I'm for either Hammer or Joe M. Both fit the bill and both are rising stars. As for Jimmy Olsen, if we're looking at UK actors, I'd go with Thomas Sangster of Finding Neverland, Nanny McFee, Love Actually, and Nowhere Boy.

You have got to be kidding me. I haven't heard this news. is it for sure or rumored. if its true than the people in charge of this are insane. atleast consider him, i don't like any other candidates. better be an unknown if not cavill

I swear to God, this Joe and Hammer talk is depressing as ****. As far as I'm concerned neither should ever play Superman.
Damn shame to hear about Cavill, he was my favorite until we found out he didn't meet certain criteria, and if true, I understand the WB completely for not considering him.
