Not necessarily, but he definitely looks like A version of Superman. IMO he looks like Superman sprung form a Byrne-comic.

LOL- Yeah, most of the time. It's just that some have been so incredibly vocal in completely debunking cavill for this part based on that stupid ass gay rumor, I guess if the WB cast him, he must be straight.

If this is true, then WB has gone against their prior feelings and decision on casting a not-so-masculine guy as Superman. Not sure I am buying this as of yet.

It's in all the major media outlets with a quote from Snyder saying how excited they are about Henry. I don't think there's anything not to buy.


Oh, and to others, can we stop talking about those rumors now? There's no need to gloat, and no more reason to bring it up anymore. Just be happy that the perfect candidate got the job, and move on, because now it's just you propagating the rumors. Thank you! t:

Terrible Choice . Why did they pick another unknown actor to play Superman . One of the reasons why the Superman returns flopped is because a lot of the actor were unknown except for Kevin Spacey

You kidding me? This is a perfect choice, you don't want this movie to be "big star actor" as Superman. You want this to be a Superman movie.

Not propagating rumors, just stating that WB did an about face about this casting decision. If Snyder is being officially quoted now there's not much left to question for me other than why they changed their mind. Can't say I am going to be watching this one. I really was hoping they would go for a true imposing Man of Steel and this one doesn't cut it for me. Such is life.

people don't really get it. returns flopped b/c it was a requel. a remake/sequel to a 30 year old movie. routh wasn't the worst part. bad actors can work if the story is good enough, and returns didn't have a good story. cavill being unknown is a good thing. that means they'll cast more known actors around him, just like they did with batman begins, and iron man(kinda, most people didn't know rdj aside from his legal troubles. when i say "people" i don't mean fanboys)
