I'm waiting for the first report of bleeding eyes due to Booth's art.
You shout your ****ish mouth. It actually wasn't bad he wasn't as obnoxious as the YJ version. They still keep the broad strokes. He still has tactical telekinesis. He's still a clone of Superman & a human; more than likely still Lex and not like it was originally since they made a beyond pointless inference to it.
I've been wanting her and Conner to be a comic couple for a long time since Conner and Cassie is boring as hell.I liked the VR scenario & how subconsciously he's still Kal in a way but without the altruism. LOL @ the lady in the burning house. I like how he's trying to break out but I didn't like the fact that this is obviously probably closely tied to the Titans book since I won't be buying that one.
I hope it remains self contained enough to work on it's own. I mean it has ****ing Caitlin Fairchild in it for pete's sake and I did not expect that at all since I stay spoiler free since I'm spending money here. Oh and Rose is in it and
picked up Superboy #1 yesterday.....
My expectations for this book were prob the lowest of the Super books. But, I must say, I really enjoyed this issue. Maybe even more so than Action Comics #1.
Perhaps it is because it's Superboy, and NOT Superman, and thus it's easier for me to accept this new, "blank slate" Superboy.
But I really like the direction they are taking, and I am eager to see Superboy's powers in action.
speaking of powers.....
Superboy mentioned he can move/lift things with his mind. to me, this seems to suggest that he has full TK ( or the potential for full TK ) and not just Tactile TK.
did anyone else get that impression?
also, was it implied Conner had Telepathy as well? it seemed that he could hear that redhead scientist's thoughts.........
Oddly enough, I'm just the opposite. I loved the previous version of Superboy and I still don't feel like they explored the possibilities with him as well as they could or should have. Scrapping all of that to start over feels like a lot of wasted opportunities to me. Conversely, Superman's had 70 years of stories, many of which are fantastic, shining examples of everything that character ought to be, so a new take on him is fresh and interesting and doesn't feel like a waste because I've got all this great material I can look back to if I want the older version(s).Perhaps it is because it's Superboy, and NOT Superman, and thus it's easier for me to accept this new, "blank slate" Superboy.
I agree mostly. At the same time, I kinda like the prospect of seeing Conner's origin done again simply because I'd definitely prefer to see it as it's own standalone story instead of folded into the giant mega event that was DoS.Oddly enough, I'm just the opposite. I was just wondering how much you guys had to pay for Action Comics #1? The store in my area is charging $10 for it.
