Well, yeah. He's only been active like maybe 5 years. Everybodies younger.

Yeah, I suppose that I assumed he was perpetually 35 and looked it. After all, he doesn't have to age, he's superman.

Superman's kind of perfect at 35, though. He's the mature, sensible, level-headed guy. That guy's obnoxious at 25 when you're still out to have fun, but he's awesome at 35.

Superman 1 will take place in the present while Action Comics 1 is going to take the character to the past for the first story arc, so, does anybody have any idea of how long the origin story will be?

The Man of Steel and Superman: Secret Origin were 6 issues long while Birthright was 12 issues long.

Any idea of how long Grant Morrinson's origin of the character will be?

Action Comic's initial 6 issue arc is "Year 0" happening about 6 months or more before Justice League #1 and sets up how Superman gets his Kryptonian heritage armor, so he likely gets his Fortress of Solitude.

Morrison's current plan is a 16 issue story arc where the 1st arc is in the past, and from there it jumps from present to past to the future. Morrison wants to create a non-linear history for Superman, compared to his linear Batman story where all old comics are molded into 1 "coherent" history.

I've always been incredibly curious about what happened in Action #2. I mean, like with all of those legendary comics (Amazing Fantasy 15, Detective Comics 17), I've always been curious about what the issue that came after them was about.

Thanks for the info. That sounds awesome!

I'm new to this thread, so can someone please reassure me that Flashpoint does not take place in the same continuity as The New 52? Thanks.

Why do I get the feeling we're gonna see Superman One Million again? :D

I hope that this time Superman's origin is rebooted and the origins isn't changed some time after

Flashpoint creates the new continuity that is the New 52.

The new DC universe isn't the Flashpoint universe, though. Flashpoint was just the transition from the post-Crisis DC universe to the new DC universe. The new DC universe is still largely undefined, except that we know it's a universe which has wholeheartedly embraced seams without any reservations whatsoever.

Think of it like the Big bang that created the new Universe. Or the drunken tryst with the dirty bar skank that resulted in your herpes.

While reading the 52 titles sinopsis i found out that the events in Stormawatch hapen because of the one in Superman 1, however it's going to be released before superman

stormawatch is going to be released in 7th september while superman 1 is going to be released in 28th.
Here's the sinipsis for Stormawatch:
Directly following the ominous events of SUPERMAN #1, Adam One leads half the Stormwatch team to recover the [INFORMATION REDACTED] from deep in the Himalayas. Meanwhile, Jack Hawksmoor and the rest of the Stormwatch crew look to recruit two of the deadliest super humans on the planet: Midnighter and Apollo! And if they say no? Perhaps the Martian Manhunter can change their minds…

lulz

Man, I really hope the Martian Manhunter doesn't suck in this new continuity. :csad:

That's a relief.
