I guess that's better than Singer/Routh Superman...
Their Superman wasn't bad either the problem was their Lois. Superman was fine for what little we saw of him and Clark.

i agree... routh as supes/clark was one of the few things that did work for me in that movie...

Yes it is the comics Superman is pretty much like Reeve Superman and that was his Superman.
I meant the Superman mythos as a whole. The movies are Donner's interpretation of it. Why does he really need to reinterpret the comics to match them?

I hope im wrong and this is the best thing since sliced bread.

Or, you know, meat and cheese if it's a decent, self-respecting sandwich. :o

Sounds like Donner just wants to let out some ghosts in his basement. He's still bitter about being a primadonna during the filming of Superman II and is dead set on telling his "version of Superman III."

..I hate him so much.
Oh yeah, becaues the Salkind/Richard Lester approach was SO much better...:whatever:

Keep posting in this thread and I'll keep posting in Flash OYL, my hands are getting good exercise from all the clicking.

Action Comics will rule.

*jumps in time machine to 1977*

I knew it!

I think this comic arc for how ever long it is will be good. Not great but good. I do how ever think it will be classic Superman story telling. Although I am still waiting for the day Alex Ross says he will take over either Action, Superman, or All-Star for a year. I am now hoping he takes over All-Star since it does come out every other month like Justice.

I think it will be a fun read, something you will enjoy but it's isn't the highest of priorities in picking up other comic books.

Well, Routh had pretty distinctive hair among the Superman actors. Same as if Clark were drawn with overgrown, tussled hair, I'd automatically think of Welling or if Superman were drawn with an infuriating lack of spit-curlage, I'd think of Dean Cain.
Routh's hair makes him look like Stephen King.

we really don't need a silver-age pre-modonna on a superman book [besides Richard donner ofcourse:whatever: ]. Alex Ross should stick to his great paintings, and let actual writers write.

But thats why he would be great for All-Star.

Okay, but he might need to work with someone else on it to get the Dialogue right.

Like how he is doing with Justice?
