Nothing new happening with the Donner/John Action Comics?

Umm it came out 3 weeks ago, it sucked. I think thats all.

It didn't suck. It is a very good read if you like changes being made to Superman. I think the only problem I have with this book is that I wish it was Superman and Lois having a kid and not them taking home
Zod's child
. Other then that I like the book it has the feel of Birthright and For Tomorrow which were classic to me.

birthright a classic? well i guess to each his own.

Anything written by Mark Waid is a classic.

He could write an instruction manual to a make-it-yourself desk and I'd be in rapture.

I'll say the same thing I said in a variation of this thread in the Superman Comics forum: I am not looking forward to anything at all from this team. Johns should stay the hell away from Superman and go back to writing The Flash.

EDIT: And Jor-El looks like a hippie. I'm surprised he's not drawn wearing sandals and sporting a ponytail.
I think this new Jor-El looks pretty cool. It's nice to have something different, and this version is fresh and new.

Action Comics solict for February.

These covers suck ass. And 3-D comics is such a ****ing lame idea. Really, this has lame written all over it. And considering theyre charging an extra dollar for it is stupid, we didnt ask for it to have 3-D sections, keep the price the same dumbasses, but at least theres a $2.99 non-3-D version. Either way, this has gimmick written all over it, and cant wait til Johns and DOnner are off this book. Also add to the fact that your store will be ****ed with the extra shipping charges because of the extra weight because of the glasses, this has **** you written all over it.

I'm not paying for this. I bought the first issue of the arc, but not to big on it.

I seriously want to know what the hell is up with these covers though.

That fact makes all your *****ing completely pointless.

No actually it doesnt. The fact is, the 3-D version should be the only version, and it should be $2.99.

But, as you said, making it 3-D is just a stupid gimmick. Why would you want it to begin with?

Heres the deal CConn, your store only orders a certain amount of comics, and this isnt a case where its a 50/50 split, you order whatever amount of each you want. What happens when your store only orders the 3-D glasses version?

Ah, so it's preemptive *****ing.

I wonder how all those poor Iraqis would feel about that.

We are liberators!

I'm digging the arc so far but I think Batmans got the best Kubert, ohh wait, the best kubert is retired...
