Also, if you don't tip, don't plan on going back to that artist. It is standard to tip for a variety of reasons mentioned. If you don't have the means to pay the price (plus tip) you've got no business getting tattooed.

On this whole topping subject...tbh i never even thought about it. but because im in the theres not a massive thing about tipping like in america. but Drakon had a point, you tip the guy he will remember you. i work in a bar and hardly get tipped but if somone does i always am a lil bit nicer to them.

so out of interest, how much would a good tip be for a tattoo artist?

I was just telling someone about a six shooter/garter tattoo I saw recently. It was a bit more detailed than that one, though.

uchiha- a 'good' tipping amount isn't really an established thing for tattooing like it is for waiters, etc. I've heard everything from throwing an extra $20 to an extra $100. It all depends on how much the tattoo costs, and how happy you are with it. Generally it's the gesture of giving someone more than they ask that is the important part. I usually tip around $50-$100 extra for every $300 or so of work.

The only tattoos I really hate are ones that are poorly done, regardless of where they are. I see so many bad ones every day that it makes a good one much more appreciated. Runts artist and draw4u for example to amazing work.

The only place I hate tattoos really on the body is the next. 9 out of 10 that I see are tacky or horrible looking, regardless of what gender is wearing it.

I've seen a good amount of gun garters and regular garters lately. Google image search has a few. Garters and stocking seams are fairly popular lately.

I just looked a couple of the gun garters up, and incidentally I don't like most of 'em, heh. A lot seem to use dark shading/outlines which from afar just look really ugly imo.

And the stocking seams make the girls look like they've been cut open.
