Michael saying he was so proud of Pam was one of my favourite moments of the series. Jim could've came in there and saved the day or even brought Karen with him to make it awkward but after all that has happened having Michael show up and love the office picture and Pam's reaction that was a great ending. If only they had Mr.Big bars in the US.

And a new sig courtesy of this episode!

I love how they make us go so back and forth with Michael... Phylis's Wedding he was a total bastard, but even then there was some nice moments from him... and then here was a terrible lecturer, but he gave some of the greatest lessons at the end of the episode.

I'm looking forward to next week... anyone else see the promo with him and Jan? I can't wait. :cyclops:

Is anyone else getting tired of the Jim/Pam thing? I love the show but that story line is wearing kind of thin.

Pam going back to Roy was annoying but with six episodes left it won't be much longer before they're together and then next season will the be "dating season/season final marriage proposal" followed by the "marriage preparation"/Pam & Jim wedding/series finale. That would be 5 seasons or 4.25 seasons since the first season was only six episodes. Hopefully they don't go Gilmore Girls and **** up the Pam/Jim marriage thing.

Rainn Wilson hosts SNL this week
, which may be a good enough reason to watch the show. He does have a history with sketch comedy so it should be one of the better ones.

Why are you only giving the Office 5 seasons...?

I have a feeling this episode will be their Emmy submission for this year.

The cast may want to leave and do movies, which they already are doing. The writers may want to leave "on top". The original BBC series was done after 12 thirty minute episodes since they knew they couldn't top the previous season so they made 2 forty minute specials. The NBC version just had their 45th episode.

They would have 94 episodes and I would imagine that the next few seasons will have one hour Christmas and season finale episodes. So that would bring it up to 99 or 100 episodes technically - perfect for syndication.

Michael can only do so much before he's fired etc. I think that's perfect for the show to end it with the fans wanting more instead of half the fan base not caring what happens to Michael, Dwight, Pam and Jim and only tuning in to the series finale to see what happens. And then *****ing and moaning about it on the internet.

This is the single most worst piece of human reasoning in the history of all life and matter.

That's awful pessimistic:(

What other shows have stayed on the air that the majority of the fan base/critics enjoyed their last season? Were the ratings still high?

You may not like these shows but generally when they ended people were sad but they were past their prime. You could say Everybody Loves Raymond was still great in the ratings and the critics had no problem with it going on. Seinfeld struggled and some will say the last two seasons weren't that great but the ratings say otherwise. Arrested Development was spared the fate of declining and cancelled on top.

We've seen Family Guy veer off, The Simpsons go on too long. 3rd Rock From The Sun, Newsradio (death of Hartman helped), Roseanne, Frasier, Friends, The Drew Carey Show, Home Improvement, Will & Grace, Family Matters, Ally McBeal, Boy Meets World, The Nanny, Just Shoot Me, King of Queens etc. etc. That's just comedies - there is another list full of dramas.

I hope The Office has a very healthy life, also it could get too expensive to keep the cast together. Still doesn't do that great in the ratings. I tuned in two years ago because I loved Gervais' Office and Steve Carell. Luckily some people fought for it and NBC kept it on the air. But I just don't want to see Michael **** up for the 44th time and not be fired, you know how Homer seems to have a half dozen different jobs away from the power plant each season? It gets boring, they have to reach for jokes and eventually its not funny anymore. Pam and Jim hookup. Then what? Do they dare try to rock the boat and have Jim have an affair? Do they break up because Pam wants kids and Jim doesn't? (hello Drew Carey). Not all comedies should run eight, nine or twenty years.

Drew didn't break up with Kate because he wanted kids and she didn't. They broke up because she had to become the ex-Mrs. Doctor Perry Cox. And also the kids thing.

Thye do a good job at balancing Micheal's horribility with his surprising competence:(

And people like Andy show up new sides of Michael... like his total hatred for people who suck up for the sake of career advancement. I thought that episode was hilarious as well. Jan makes him more serious too.

There's so many sides to Michael within his terrible nature. Plus, is Angela pregnant? She spat out tha alcohol at the party, she was weepy a lot, and some other stuff of which I can't remember right now.

Many more things to explore.

I know but for this relationship it would seem like Pam would want kids and Jim would rather just be with Pam and not deal with kids. They wrote her out of the show and brought in a new love interest to shake things up. That worked wonders :whatever:

Mike's attraction to really fit guys?

Yes the next two seasons can explore that. After that, then you're venturing into Jump the Shark waters. I hope I'm not the only one who would like to see the show finish at its peak.

I don't want to see you guys *****ing in 2011 about a recently divorced Michael babysitting Ryan/Kelly's two kids, Dwight Jr. (invirto) and Pam/Jim's adopted baby while dealing with his wrongful death suit from Toby's widow.

You're really sweet to care about us that much.

Also, I really really want to see that episode.

Roy's brother smashing the chair was great. He goes over there and you think he is going to grab Roy, instead he picks up a chair and smashes it. Classic

Yeah, the whole scene was getting way too dramatic, but that made everything right again.:yay:

They really need more of Roy's brother. The guy is hillarious.
