The Official TIH Preview Thread

The problem is getting people in the theaters. The interest among the masses seems very low for this. I think the only hope is word of mouth. After having seen these 3 clips I have no doubt the movie is going to be spectacular.
*IF* this film is as good as it looks, I wouldnt worry to much even if it just has a ''so so'' opening weekend B.O.
If it's good, W.O.M. will (hopefully) kick in and it could/should do just fine.
But Like I said though, thats a big *IF* to count on. Here's hoping.:bh:

What?
Abomination sounds like Megatron but not Optimus Prime. If Optimus Prime sounded like that he'd be a little too scary sounding for a "hero".
I can't beleive people are disappointed by the voice I think its one of the best things in the clip.

The fight looks perfect. The CGI has totally convinced me and the way Hulk seems to smash everything and turn it into a shield or weapon is funny.

My only concern is that Abomination's voice sounds... monstrous-generic and add to that that what he says is generic action movie character lines (Come on! Is that the best you've got). It almost sounds stupid for a raging monster IMO. And thus I'm concerned if Hulk is going to talk and sound like that.

Would you prefer he quote Shakespeare, or something?

I agree, I would like a bit more original lines. But I guess they're taking no chances and are making it as safe and mainstream as possible.

Which in all fairness might be right thing to do. If this movie flops, Hulk might just be finished as a character, certainly in the movie world.

What did you expect him to say?
He is in a fight do you expect him to give a deep emotional speech before he kicks Hulk's ass or something?

The 'Is that all you've got' is a pun on what is said in an earlier clip with unmutated Blonsky squaring off against hulk. In that scene hulk procedes to kick Blonsky square in the chest, taking him out of the fight. Now Abomb saying it again is kind of like saying, you may of beat me last time but you can't beat me this time.

Yeah, "Is that all you've got?" is kind of like Blonsky's catchphrase in the movie, I guess.

This clip alone ticks all the boxes!

I feel embarrassed that I doubted Louis Leterrier, because, by Christ he has more than delivered the goods (all this from a 45 sneak peek too)

To all the Bat-Idiots, do you really expect Nolan to 'top' this footage.

Hulk has won! End of!

Nolan can't touch Louis' action as we saw with Batman Begins. Louis can shoot action and Drama as seen in 'Unleashed.'

Me too! Imagine that beast coming after you down a dark alley! :abom:

The action i Batman Begins was not very good. It was chaos. Still loved the movie, but it was not flawless. Especially when it comes to action. Choreography anyone? :)

But then again, Batman Begins was not an action-flick. It was more drama and philosophy. Why even bother comparing? Loved Batman and I really hope I can love The Incredible Hulk.

It was in my two favorite CBM's until Iron Man knocked it down a notch. Not taking away anything from Nolan, I loved Memento and The Prestige but his action shots leave much to be desired. Hopefully he pulls the camera back in TDK.

Do you want to play questions?

/hope you get the joke... if not.. Tim Roth was Guildenstern in Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, a movie based on a play that revolves around two minor characters in Hamlet.

I loved the action, indifferent on the voice.

I thought the sound of the voice and wording captured the persona of Abomination perfectly.

Anyone else notice that Abomination saying "C'mon!" is different in the TV Spot and the 43 sec Street Fight clip?

Geez, Can't Get......... Enough.........!!!!!!! Aarrggghhh!

If This Is The Footage They're Showing Us Imagine What We Haven't Seen Yet!!!!!!!!!

You actually think Shakespeare is better for a raging monster?

I thought the sound of the voice and wording captured the persona of Abomination perfectly.

It surely did. But with such an amazing and overwhelming visual design I'd say we didn't need to capture the same through the voice. My point? The voice is not doing anything that the visuals hadn't done brilliantly. He's not saying anything that was needed.

I agree, I would like a bit more original lines. But I guess they're taking no chances and are making it as safe and mainstream as possible.

That's my biggest fear. Things get ugly when they follow the easier way.

Which in all fairness might be right thing to do. If this movie flops, Hulk might just be finished as a character, certainly in the movie world.

A difficult choice, without a doubt.

What did you expect him to say?

If he's in a raging fight I certainly expect him to fight, not to talk.

They gave Abomination a voice to have him throwing pouins? :(

I don't want to see anymore clips because of the chance of spoiling the movie for myself. I've seen enough to know that all involved had a definite vision and they're seeing it through.

Now I want posters and I want to see the cast making their rounds.

I'm PSYCHED!!!

HOLY !@#$. I finally saw the clip. Brutal. That is pure sickness. This movie is going to kill.

I'm baffled that we actually have people that complain about the Abomination talking.

Nolan can't touch Louis' action as we saw with Batman Begins.

Cerytainly. This Hulk-Abomination fight looks simply incredible. BB's action was like shaking your head while watching a Batman fight, missing everything about it in the process.

I loved the action, indifferent on the voice.

Same here. Even when I'm concrened about the voice, nothing can take the exciment out of this clip.

It would have worked if he did it once or twice when he was taking out the gansters for effect, but it was over done.

BTW, don't get offended if I start calling some of these fake posing payasos...payasos. Know that you are El Payaso!
