They sucked or you just couldn't get the hang of them?! It's difficult at first but once you get the hang of the flying controls they're fine!
 
No, It's lame that I have to toggle two controls and hold down another button in order to fly in a straight line. The same deal in some recent Airplane based games that turned me off. I dont want anything to complicated, I just want to have fun flying around blowing things up.
 
What two controls do you have to toggle??

It's complicated alright but once you get the hang of it is is fun flying around imo.
 
No, it's lame to have to "figure it out" in order to do something you HAVE to do in order to keep moving. And if I'm having issues, I know others are going to get turned off as well.
 
The controls aren't that hard, I got a hang of flying after about 2 tries. You don't need to use both controls at the same time, one to make him look where he's going, the other to make him go where you want.

It's not that difficult.

Lol, yeah. Gotta hate thinking in order to progress in a game. Thats why I gave up chess for bingo. :woot:
 
On the 360 you need to toggle both to fly in one stated direction. It get's distracting and boring, especially with crap being shot at you if you linger.

The flying thing is bad enough, I'm also dissapointed the ground fighting moves are kinda "meh" as well.

The Superman Returns comparison is definatly appropriate.

Thinking isn't the problem, figuring out something that was the professionals job to figure out for you is a problem though.

If someone maps your characters run to the right stick, and the camera to the left you'd undoubtedly say "Hm... well...that's..wrong...."

Though I haven't been able to get my hand on the demo, I figured it was going to control sloppy. Though, I always thought it would only be on foot as Iron Man seems to glide as he runs, and it always just looked awkward.

Now can we please stop defending hero games, simply because it's got our heroes in them? Wouldn't we all love Iron Man to have a PROPER release? (I know I would.)
 
Flying is ok, but add in getting shot at by twenty things and add in a really horrible Auto-Lock.. ugh.

I was hopeful for the game, but the demo ruined it for me.

Had it confirmed, NO ONLINE PLAY. Apparently, it wasn'nt ready for it in time for release, despite being marketed for it.
 
just played the iron man game, its ok, kinda boring tho.. controls need some getting used to, iron man is way too shiny i think, doesnt look right.. its just ok, i really hope hulk is better quality wise..

When I reserved it at Gamestop. Apparently, it was made to go online for the PS3 and XBox 360, but some things we're not ironed out before release. The clerk said it still may be able to go live in the future.
 
Dang... Sorry to hear all the bad reviews of the IM game but I still have Superman Returns on my PS2 and it isn't great but was good enough to buy. Guess I'll look at it that way and hope to be pleasantly surprised... I've got a PS3 now so I'll at least be looking at better graphics! The fighting in that game IS really weak though, hope its at least a little better.
 
After seeing the new movie trailer, I'm pretty psyched to play this game. HULK SMASH!!!

:bh: DAAAAMMMMNNN! How disappointing to hear! If they would've had that included, they would've set the bar for comic book movie games. And just to touch on the Iron Man game quickly, i LOVE the demo! I mastered flying, firing replusor rays while flying, and catching missiles! Now with that said, will i buy it when it comes out? No, but when it comes in used, i'll buy it then. Aside from handling the news about the TIH not being online compatible, i still await to reak terrible damage when the game comes out! HUD was my stress reliever, and this one will be too!

Edit: Iron Man Demo only for gold members now? Jesus, Microsoft has really gotten my nerves as of late. I don't play online because usually I do not like to, thus it's not worth my cash... so I get restricted demos? Yeesh!

I hardly yelled at you. :whatever: And you was saying this game will be poor because of the fact that it was made by Sega and not because of its particular merits. Don't bother trying to play the hard done by card because I wasn't the only one who called you up on your obvious bias others did too.
And really if the only problem with IM is the use of the controls than maybe that's down to the player not having great skill rather than the game itself being bad. All this title has done is split people down the middle, nothing more.

A couple of the figures were in the Hulk booth at ComicCon. At the videogame panel it was mentioned that these designs were taken right from the game.

I wonder what other figures are planned? U-Foes and Rick would be nice.
