Nothing quite so fun as reducing a man to babbling... :p

Awww, why thank ye. And it's now April 26th in nice dreary ol' England, so my site has a temporary makeover. The banner is wearing a party hat, apparently... those nuisance little elves. ;)

Oh yeah!!! This deserves it's own thread. :hyper:

What can I say.. I like contrasts. It's what I do. :)

It's actually kinda hard to see... you shoulda made it in color so it'd stand out.

That would spoil the fun, it's supposed to be hard to see. ;) It's a "blink and you'll miss it" visual joke for 99.9% of the world's population - I'm only telling the special people. :hyper:

I think my jokes are too understated for my own good.

Did you leave our Thomasy a message yet? :marv:

I left one on k-site, DTS and here.... I guess I'll make it over to your forums as well.

But I'm not sure whether I even have an account.

I'll have to check.

I don't have a forum right now, mine's just the comment section of each news story. You don't need to sign up for anything. :)

I'm working on huge improvements to the whole system, though. It's lacking features like whoa....

I tried it already, and I don't think it worked.... Is it supposed to show up immediately?

It didn't seem to add my comment.

It did, I just had to activate it your comment before it became visible. :) I've had so many idiots posting rubbish that I decided to use comment moderation; now I just need to overhaul and improve the whole commenting system so that it actually lets people know what's happening. ;)

It's based on wordpress so it's fairly simplistic. I've been knee-deep in PHP code for months....

Oh, okay.... thanks.

sorry to hear about the PHP stuff... doesn't sound fun.

It can be lots of fun, oddly enough, as long as everything goes to plan. It's when you have a problem that the "fun" starts. ;)

Comment systems are tricky because you have to validate and secure the information that is inputted. Without some form of checking it's easy to input data that compromises the whole database. Not pretty. ;)

I did, I did!!! :D

I'm really a spaz today, don't mind me.

A few minutes ago, I dropped my contact while I was typing on the keyboard. I searched ALL over the desk, lap, floor.. finally called over my daughter who has eyes that still function and she found it stuck to the number 3. :)

Oh, okay. Gotcha.

The closest I come is doing the reviews for K-site, so I wouldn't be much help.

I do run an internal web site where I work but they've got an online wysiwig tool that helps me build it, so that probably doesn't count.

I'm a wysiwig (what you see is what you get, for those who don't know) kinda girl....

Some of the more up-to-date wysiwig's are fairly good (the newer versions of Dreamweaver springs to mind) but generally they're not the way to go if you want to build a WWW site. For intranet's where you have total control over the user environment, they're fantastic. Ditto for small personal sites that barely anyone will see. But for a WWW site with a good number of visitors it's always better to streamline through optimised hand-coding.

The abysmal over-abundance of table-based layouts can be traced back to the lovely wysiwig's of yore ....

Which is exactly why I don't have my own web site.

:D

More power to ya for doing your own coding.

I took one computer class (intro to computer programming) a few years ago hoping to build up my skills for work and it wasn't much fun. I could do it, but I didn't enjoy it and wasn't really all that good at it.

For a final project we had to do an animation in TCL (a simplified version of C++) and the animation had to have several movements. So I decided to make a ball bounce, how easy is that? Well, my ball bounced once and kept on going, couldnt get it to do it again.

Meanwhile, some other dudes had animated the professor and had him answer simple math questions put in by a user into a text field.

:(

That's when I decided that programming maybe wasn't my thing....

I was lucky I got out of that class with a D.

So what happen last night does chloe still no the secrets or not?

Yeah, she only forgot the few minutes before Clark caught the huge column things....

They never really explained why Clark could remember everything later except the day he was an amnesiac....

It makes for an interesting twist, however. Lex now knows something that Clark forgot and Clark doesn't know to what extent Chloe knows about his powers...

This will make for some very interesting stuff for these last few episodes.
