I didn't realize that Tom was that much taller than Erica. I knew, of course, that he was taller, but that picture is quite telling.

Great picture, KalKai!

I saw a picture of Erica not too long ago, and was surprised at how petite she looked. I would assume that all the girls have heels on in that picture too.

That's actually my favorite look for him with the longer hair and beard. I don't think I'm ever going to get that period movie though =(

Give him time. ;)

I hope he does something this summer and that's why he's growing out the beard and hair.... :(

I would love to have that look permenantly in DVD form anyway... ;)

So beautiful!

I wish he did something this summer, but at the same time I'd like himto rest. He works too hard the rest of the year.

He's the only man I find adorable with a beard. And I definitely LOVE the long hair!

I just figured that was his relaxed-for-the-summer look. They start back up in July sometime, so he doesn't have much time if he IS doing another project. But wouldn't we have heard about it by now?

I would love to have that look permanently in DVD form anyway... ;)
No argument there. We've got S5 to look forward to in August though, so I'll be happy with that in the mean time. :)

He could have a small part in a large film and that wouldn't make any waves... *shrug* Maybe, but that's probably wishful thinking.

It is more likely at this point, not having heard anything, that he's just giving his razor the summer off... ;) :D

Which is okay too since he might need some time off.

Yeah, I'm with Carol on that. I think I'd rather him have the time off. He deserves it. I hope he can get as far away from press and annoying paparazzi too. He needs a break. I know I would.

They should give him a small role in 300:eek:

And if you've seen any of the production diaries Im sure you can figure out why I say that.;)

Watch this.

We have a whole forum for the movie here.

I know Id pay to see Welling in a red cape and leather loin cloth.:D
Even though Gerard Butler looks to be more than uh capable.

I'd pay to see Welling read the yellow pages in a burlap sack, so you know I'd be totally up on seeing him wearing a loin cloth... :D ;)

I have no idea what this film is still but I'm thinking I like the eye candy and the featurette made the film look exciting... I'll probably see it.

Thanks, green.

ETA: Oh, interesting...

LOL! I guess it takes a graphic novel to get fanboys interested in history!

:D Too funny...

I'll probably go see it now...

Thanks, Kal.

"Based on the epic graphic novel by Frank Miller, "300" is a ferocious retelling of the ancient Battle of Thermopylae in which King Leonidas (Gerard Butler) and 300 Spartans fought to the death against Xerxes and his massive Persian army. Facing insurmountable odds, their valor and sacrifice inspire all of Greece to unite against their Persian enemy, drawing a line in the sand for democracy. The film brings Miller's (Sin City) acclaimed graphic novel to life by combining live action with virtual backgrounds that capture his distinct vision of this ancient historic tale."

I think its gonna be rather good.

You're welcome.:)

BTW have you ever come across the script Nick Cave wrote for Gladiator 2?
I can find a ton of stuff on it but no actual links to the script.

Sounds like it and I loved Gladiator, of course I was in major lust with Russell Crowe at the time it came out so that may have had something to do with my ardor... ;) :D

No, I'd love to read it... he recently wrote a film down under that got good reviews but I haven't seen it (The Proposition starring Guy Pearce.)

I think he's twisted (yet so smart) as a song writer so I would love to see what he can deliver as a script writer....

His reasoning for putting the skimpily clad girls in his video "Bring it On" was because he thought he'd get more air time on MTV if he did.

It worked... :D

Too funny.

Based on looks alone (from that CW pick) Tom should have taken Orlando's spot for Troy.....AND, he sorta resembles Eric Bana.

Though, Tom is probably much bigger than Eric...probably wouldn't have worked since Hector was the older brother.

Actually, now that I think about it.....Bloom didn't have any facial hair. Guess it wouldn't have worked at all. :O

I love Nick Cave, Let Love In is one of my all time favorites.
The Proposition is getting excellent reviews.

I think I probably would have loved Gladiator in any case, it was a fun movie, but it's hard to really know for sure.

He was so sexy in that film and totally made the drek-filled dialogue watchable... I can't imagine anyone else speaking such horrible lines and still somehow made it all work.

It was like magic. ;) :D

I'm not sure I've hear Let in Love, but I did love Bring it On...
