LOL!
I just couldn't imagine what was so bad... I guess I'll shut up now.

I *like* the minimal moderation we have in here. I'm sure Big Brother peeks in at us every now and then which seems to be just about as much as we need. I really don't think that we need 'tending as much as some other forums. Anything major bad that needs immediate attention can be PM'd to one of TPTB easily enough..or we can always use the ignore feature (usually.)

I have a new avatar.![]()

I helped him out when he needed it, and I thought there was a connection there and we were getting to be friends. And yet he's totally insensitive to how him saying that stuff would hurt me.
Yeah, "stabbed in the back" kinda describes it.
I get too emotionally attached for the wrong reasons sometimes.
Worse thing is that now I just feel stupid.
Anyway, I like your avatar.
But I think I'm going to bed after I do a little more writing...
Work is ****ty and now here isn't much better. Have to escape somehow, getting into someone else's head other than mine might help...
I'll be better tomorrow. Maybe my mood ring won't be so black then.

I found that interesting because I can't even find forums where it's really being discussed.Serene said:Secondly...here's another article about The Fog.. a pretty good one too

Me, not so much. I've been around the fandom thing a fairly long time, and I've learned that there's more b.s. out there than not. I don't find whatshisface harmless.. he's schmoozing you one minute and being a malicious jerk the other. And it's been that way from day one.. the story never changes. Eh.. who needs it. Honestly, he's the *only* person I have on ignore.
For you to call me a "malicious jerk" is so far out of line. I'm sure you'll end up reading this, know that you are wrong, and say nothing cause uhh.. I'm on ignore
Only reason I don't have you on ignore is because I know you talk sh** about me and I have no problem to stand up for myself when that's the case. I give an opinion on the forum acting in a contradicting manner, I give an opinion in a thread MADE to bash Routh that said he was dropped, and I'm being malicious?? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. This is not a dictatorship, neither you Agent Spat will run me off. I break no rules, give my opinion when I want. I don't make personal attacks either. Unlike SOME that are in this forum. Just knock it off. You're quite welcome, Rumpuso. I believe that photo was taken during the scenes where Clark was talking to Lionel in prison. They must have darkened the print in post though because it looks like there was plenty of ambient lighting - but it probably looked more "prison-like" for it to be dark.rumpuso said:This one does me in. Parallel universe, babe. But Para's cool. See, if he wanted to be our mod here, I'd have no problem with it. He's a fair guy. But Para, I thought you were wicked busy recently? You getting back into the swing of things now?triplet said:Are you being serious? A mod actually like Tom Welling enough to think he should have been Superman?
Or have I unknowingly passed into a parallel universe?
Bale Bashing? Where? Lemme at 'em!Paradoxium said:encouraging Welling Bashing in a Smallville forum is like encouraging Bale Bashing in a Batman forum. I don't know how convincing I sound![]()
Yeah, but after a while, the bad outweighs the good, and I'd rather increase my fun here, not decrease it. Those in my ignore list have earned the right to be there. Besides, it takes two to tango, so I rather be the bigger person and bow out of future arguments gracefully. "Ignore" is my happy pill.jas01724 said:It's weird, I never put people on ignore. Hmm. Interesting. I don't think the casting decision rested completely on look - Singer's comments point more to not wanting Welling solely because of his connection with SV (an ironic point since that's pretty much the only reason folks wanted him for the role to being with, but whatever.)Thunder Emperor said:...I had taken notice before that singer was just continuing the donner line. but to me it seems he is doing it literally and he wanted someone that looks like reeve. I think hwsnbn looks more like reeve than he does superman. welling looks for like superman than he does reeve. which will not work for singer and his singerman picture
Hey! That was a great read! Thanks Serene.Lara said:I found that interesting because I can't even find forums where it's really being discussed.
AgentPat said:It's funny how many similarities there are with Singerman too. Many people out there might think of it as being a remake. In fact, a lot have. I know I've personally spoken to folks who questioned why remake it at all. So, whether it's a remake or not, some people see it that way. Now the producers of TF aren't making any bones (pun intended) about that, but they have pointed out they're changing some of the backstory and relative ages of the characters. Hee! Sound familiar?
AgentPat said:Obviously, there's a WORLD of difference between the two properties. Budget and genre being two of the biggest, but some comments like, "We're being really hard on ourselves, so the end product will provide exactly what the audience wants, not just in terms of shocks and scares and special effects, but in terms of good writing and good performances" is the same kind of rah rah we've been hearing of late with Singerman. I guess it's just a matter of convincing the fans now (a tall order depending upon how iconic the original films were.) I'm thinking Wainwright's buildings will be a little shorter to leap over than Singer's, but Wainwright has less to lose in the end, so it's all relative, I suppose.
This REALLY is what it's all about. Welling has this wonderful innate ability to endear his characters to the audience. Even on JA, who'd you feel sorry for? Amy (the star) or Rob?triplet said:...If you don't care about the characters then why would anyone give a **** about what happens to them?
Me too. This article made me even more excited about this film.

Well, not everywhere. There's not THAT much opposition to it, from what I've seen. Most folks seem to be looking forward to it. Again, the "similarities" abound. *snicker*Yes, the original is iconic and horror fanboys all over are having a hissy about it,
[Points to last statement.] LOLbut what they could accomplish back then as opposed to what they can do now will make for a much better film.

JcDc said:Triplet, this is such a ridiculous thing to throw away a friendship over. Our talks away from smallville/superman have been very meaningful to me. Your opinion on everything has always been important. But I just can't believe over what happens in this forum that about Routh, Welling, Smallville, Singer, etc... Especially since I was very careful to make sure you didn't feel I was saying anything personal towards you during these discussion. You are willing to say all the things we've discussed away from the forum have been meaningless and just ignore me based on what Agent Spat thinks. If that is the case I don't need a friend like that. I'm friends with people who can disagree but at the same time always have my back like I will have theirs, as I've had yours.
