lol pure silliness. I wanted to see him as Alexander but nope Colin Farell (Sp?) The reviews say he wasn't larger than life enough. I think Tom would have been. Has anyone heard anymore about his brother and that movie? I am so curious and I can't find it on DTS
It was driving me crazy so Serene PM'd me the link to the DTS forum page but I couldn't find the article because the link in the post was broken.

So I finally figured it out and here is the movie's web page:

http://www.wrestlingthemovie.com/

Check it out there... not many photos but there are links to several interesting article, the most interesting of which is this one:

http://www.delawareonline.com/newsjournal/life/2004/08/21professionalwre.html

The film sounds like it's a poor man's Garden State, in a way. At least thematically.

Anyway, it does sound interesting. I wonder if it will ever get picked up for distribution. I guess it depends how good it is.

*pouts*

You'd have found info about Mark's movie a lot more quickly and easily if you'd visited my site.

Really?

Dang. Sorry, James. I didn't even think to check there.

Do you have a better photo of Mark. The ones on the Delaware online pages are tiny...

I'm just curious how much he looks like his brother....

EDIT:

Took a look and there is a nice little comment from the film maker.

They're going to have a write up in January's Filmmaker mag (I get that from time to time when they have interesting articles...) and will add more photos on their site at the same time.

The poster, possibly Jeremy the director?, also said audiences will be totally blown away by Mark's performance...

Hehe, I hope you're not really feeling guilty - I was semi joking.

The guy in the banners of wrestlingthemovie.com is Mark.

No, not really but I do have your site bookmarked, just haven't visited in awhile... Busy working on that TV pilot with my writing buddy.

He's got an actor cousin (he did the "My name is "Jameswehadababyitsaboy'" collect call spots for ATT and did several pilots that failed to get picked up) who's going to take a look at our first draft and we had to have it done by yesterday....

Not quite where I wanted it to be, but my buddy claims he'll get me outta this job and into a writing career yet. ;)

Oh, Okay... Is he the guy kissing that girl in that one pic?

You can't really see him too well in any of the photos, however.

Thanks for the links. I have to admit the picture of him doesn't look that promising. Tom would be a lot to live up to =( Of course he might be less tight lipped and tell childhood stories about Tom if he's interviewed. Well I can hope......

He's a lot less tight-lipped, it was thanks to him back in september of 2001, just before SV started, that anyone even found out that Tom had lived in Michigan - he would post on websites and talk a bit about his brother. Then I guess he got told not to do that any more...

Hmmm well having two boys myself perhaps there wasn't just telling but armtwisting, noogies and threats of bodily harm. Big brothers are nice but scary :p

Well yes, I was being diplomatic. :p He's smaller than his brother, so I think Tom probably whupped him...

Oops, sorry about not posting the DTS website. See what happens when you try to slam post from work without your co-workers seeing what you are doing!!! I'm happy someone posted the links to the article. I'll remember next time. DTS is hard to navigate.

I'm really curious about what the Welling parents look like. I'm thinking the mom has dark hair and the dad has light hair. Am I right? Anyone know? I wonder if Tom and his siblings got the same ribbing my brother and sisters and I got growing up. We also don't look a like. Everyone was always like, "What does the mailman look like? Ha Ha Ha!!!" to which I would roll my eyes so far back in my head I could see my roots growing. Aw, Tom's brother used to post about him? Man, I'm sorry I missed that.

I'm pale, blond, blue eyes, thin like a rake handle. My older brother is tanned, brown hair and eyes, built like a barn. When I first started at high school, nobody who knew him believed that we were related... lovely it was.

As for the 'rents of the brothers Welling, I don't think you're too far off. Mark never posted that much, but what he did post was probably far more revealing than is family would have liked so he stopped again after only a week or so. I only know of two sites that he ever posted at, and of those only one still exists - with a completely different message board and no archive of the old one. Shame.

I know exactly what you mean. As annoying as it was as a child to have people disbelieve my bro and sisters were related, it is even more annoying to hang out with my brother now and have people ask us how long we've dated. C'mon now, people!!!!

Aha! I may have to start the first Mark Welling fan club and score an exclusive interview. Questions could include:
1)So how did you (or your brother) really get into acting?
2)Do you have inside info on the family (or your brother)?
3)Do you want to hang out sometime with me (and your brother)?
I kid. I am uber curious now on what their relationship is like. But hey, seeing as we have NO info about Tom for the last few months, I'd settle for an interview with Tom Welling's hairstylist at this point.

Hey, two of us triplets are identical and the third is fraternal and looks nothing like the other two of us... we used to tell her that she was adopted.

 I agree with you on that!

I guess that's one reason I'm looking forward to the next Smallville mag: a "New" interview with Tom is supposed to be the main thing in it.

Hee. I'm trying to picture kids taunting each other with that. "You're not really a triplet. You're adopted!" Other kid runs away and cries. Ah, to be an evil kid again.

And I want to pre-thank you kind souls who transcribe or scan those articles for others. I've decided that my Smallville knowledge is not really an obsession as long as I don't spend money on it. Please help to keep me deluded and in denial.

Heh, heh. I wanted to parady all those sigs that say "Routh pronounced like south" in the Superman forum. I even went over to the Superman forum and posted something bogus just to see if anyone would notice my sig. Nothing!! (sigh). If I can get just one newbie to mistakenly proclaim, "I think it's pronounced like Ralph" my cold heart will smile with joy.

Also, next con, I'm thinking of suggesting a shirt that says "Say no to Routh" on the front. And "Welling owns" on the back. Of course, I would never wear anything like that or really even go to a con. But just the suggestion would probably throw "It is Batgirl" into convulsions. I like playing around with them. ;) :D

Actually, we really thought she was... She doesn't really look like anyone else in the family, except in a very vague way.

The differences were even greater when we were kids. My and my identical have dark brown curly hair and hazel eyes.

She was a platinum blonde with pale blue eyes and an extremely pale complexion... No one else has that coloring in our family at all, although the shape of her eyes, mouth and nose are definitely the same as several other members of the family.

We weren't trying to be mean, but she's still mad at us about that 30 some odd years later... ;)

No convulsions here.

However, if I saw anyone wearing a shirt like that I sure as hell would. That's got to be the ultimate sign of patheticness.

Between the sig and Pat's post, this place is making me smile tonight. :)
And boy, do I need to smile tonight. Life's kicking my ass, but good, right now. Sorry to whine.. think I'll go console myself in the Drooling thread.
