Many times, there's points I'd like to add to what people have to say, but I either don't have the time to respond, or I get caught up in other things and lose track. Either way, I miss responding, which isn't intentional. That said, you made some killer points in that post. Bravo! There's so much to be said on the big picture, I just don't know where to begin sometimes.

Don't know if this is where this question should go, but I was wondering if anyone "in the business" knows why the WB has never given Smallville an early renewal in January as they have done last year with both The Gilmore Girls and Charmed. It just seems as if since Smallville is a money maker for the WB on a consistent basis that they wouldn't delay announcing its renewal. Anyone have any input?

It was given its second season renewal in january (or at least very early) of 2002. It's a show with such changeable dynamics behind the scenes (especially now, with the movie) that an announcement of an early renewal would probably be very risky, what with the possibility, however small, that they may have to change their mind and cancel it anyway.

Barring some very specific circumstances -- circumstances that seemed pretty likely six months ago -- it has had an unofficial pick-up for at least five seasons since the middle of season two. Any seasons after the fifth would be dependant on the actors' willingness to continue.

Too bad Singer didn't browse the forums before making his fateful (or fatal) decision to hire Routh or he woulda known what he should have done.



There were a lot of good arguments on why TW should have gotten the part, and still are.

It's a cap from Recruit. The background is heavily modified for color and layout (it's a mirror image from left to right.) I had fun making that one.

Just took a stroll over yonder. A few new manips and one re-heeely nice one... from the neck down. So depressing.
