:o Wow that pic sucks but who doesn't have a pic that sucks. Here's what I don't get she's not SUPPOSED to be beautiful so why do people feel the need to tear her down for being kinda cute/kinda average? It's not like she's reffered to being beatiful like Lana is

I don't know what your talking about but I'm curious can you post it?
I wish I had saved it, but alas, I didn't. Piecing together the details, apparently Dan Harris (one of the script writers on the film), had (or has?) a personal website on which he had posted a photo of him, Singer, and a few other people. Singer is in the pic crouched down with a grin and pointing at a tattoo (up close and personal) that a guy had on his bum! The guy's pants were pulled down, and the tattoo was clearly visible: a big Superman logo. Harris was in the background with a few others. I think they had drinks in their hands. It appeared as if they were at a party and being a little... um, wild. The photo is priceless. If anybody saved it, please post it. I laugh every time I see it, which is why I'm "bummed" I didn't save it. LOL!!!

i have seen the pic you refered to someone posted it on the superboards and used it to refer to singer and routh's sexuality.

I think that photo came out after some film festival Singer was at in Toronto in the latter part of 2004.

Oh, MAN! That really, REALLY sux!!!!!!!! Major bummer. I wonder if that will affect production on the film (beyond the obvious?)

Well, she's a producer and they must have known that she was ailing... she wasn't a primary as far as the production is concerned, so I wouldn't think it would have much impact, but man it really sux.

Since we're talking about posting snippets... :D

From a new interview with KK where she is asked about first meeting and working with Tom.DTS .

"Ask her about her first day on the set meeting Superman hunk Tom Welling, and Kristin begins to gush. "I remember I was really shy and toungue-tied. He's quite stunning in person and was so cool with his stubble and ripped jeans; he looked like a model. Our chemistry was great, and that made me really excited to play this character." While this may sound like a crush, Kristin insists that all the people on the show are good buddies. "No crushes," she says, laughing. "That's the great thing about our show - there are no weird, behind-the-scenes love triangle. Everyone gets along; we totally make fun of each other." She pauses. "Tom's married!" she adds, as if trying to convince whoever is listening. "Happily married!"

Yeah.. I just BET she was excited to work with him.. Can you say...DREAM JOB? :)

Yeah, I bet.

I wonder if stunning really describes what he looks like in person?

I like when Ironside called him "painfully atractive to look at"

Stunning is a good word. So is handsome, striking, adorable, inspiring, charming, mesmerizing, beefy, salacious, irresistible, hot, sexy and built.

If in doubt, "gorgeous" will do though. LOL

Seriously though, he's gotta stand out. Understatement? His height alone is going to get him noticed. He doesn't have an "average" body shape, and his eclectic potpourri of facial features has an appeal that crosses all sorts of gender, racial and ethnic lines.

Did you guys see that VH1 countdown a few nights ago? Some of those folks interviewed hit it on the head when they described what it was about Tom that they found so appealing. Was pretty interesting. :D

LOL! True, but what I meant was that I thought that was an understatement... So does stunning really cover his effect on people in person? Prolly not! LOL!

Yep... but they work so well together. :D

Yep, it was.

You have to wonder why some of the people got higher ratings though, he's more cut than just about anyone on that list... I think what someone said on DTS was true: that list was more about popularity than who had the hottest body.

He's way more built than Eminem or Brad Pitt.

I wonder if they do that again he'll get a higher rating after doing The Fog?

I forgot to check DTS and missed it. What did they say?

Here's what was said in its entirety. I transcribed it. :D

Narrator:
When SV cast Tom Welling as Superman in 2001, he knew those were some pretty big tights to fill. But the 6'3 former model has pulled it off just fine.

Carmen Electra:
Tom Welling is fit enough to play Superman. He has sick abs - just ripped.

Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica):
He's got the eyes that just draw you in. He's very handsome.

Narrator:
This boy next door morphed into a man of steel the old fashioned way.

Woman in black (no clue who she is):
Tom Welling went from being a construction worker, to a model, to Superman.

Tricia Helfer:
And then he becomes an actor and gets on this great show.

Woman in black:
And that transition kind of makes sense. He's great looking and he's sporty and strong, and he's the all-American man.

TW:
There's no tights, there's no flying around. There's none of that yet.

Narrator:
For Tom, staying strapping requires lots of time in the great outdoors.

TW:
I try to stay as active as I can, especially on the weekends and just keep moving around. It's the best thing you can do.

Woman in black:
On his down time, he enjoys going outside kayaking, mountain biking, being outdoors as opposed to sitting in a gym. He's much more of a man's man.

Neal Boulton (Men's Fitness Magazine):
He plays basketball, he stays in shape in various ways. You can see it in his body.

Tricia Helfer:
He doesn't need to go spend four hours in the gym when he goes out and plays basketball after work with his buddies, so it's only the best workout there is.

END

The whole piece lasted about 90 seconds. It was quickly edited together using all sorts of clips from various appearances, show clips, publicity photos, award shows, that music video he was in - all sorts of stuff. Was pretty cool. :)

Thanks for the transcription, Pat. I'm sorry I missed it. :( Hopefully the clip will be available online soon.

I recorded it on TiVO.. actually, it was cool. I turned to it just before he was up and stopped recording after it was over, so it's a really short recording.

Probably should be able to capture it, but we'll see. I was gonna try it tonight.

Thanks Agent Pat! I may try to catch a rerun it definitely sounds worth it. Unfortunately with my old computer and dial up I can never watch the online clips.

Thanks for the clip Triplet! I was bummed I missed that segment.

I was surprised at the number of times they used the clips from his music video. He was so young then and his body was not nearly as defined looking in that video as it is in more recent years. I suppose it was still defined, but those clips just didn't show it.
