I don't have an answer for you, but I can tell you that having an "official" site isn't always a good thing for the site owner. It's nice on some levels - maybe the celeb will pay for the hosting fees, and some information may flow a bit easier - but you end up being the celeb's official on-line representation, so you're constantly being policed on what you can and can't post. It *can* be a drag, especially when other sites catch wind of something on the horizon, post it to their *fansites*, yet you're told you can't say anything "official" yet. I've seen this happen to a LOT of fansites that became official later. I ran a fansite for seven years and was "warned" about many of these drawbacks when I sought to make it official.
