The guy has a LOT at stake with every stunt he films. Why wouldn't he check with everyone involved with the stunt to make sure they were ready? Especially since the extras are driving THEIR OWN CARS.

I just don't find it as hard to believe.

Considering all the reports of Bay being extremely hands on when it comes to the set, and how obsessive he gets about filming, yeah, I can see it.

There's plenty of reports from the first and second film where Bay has interacted with military personnel as well.

I don't find it hard to believe either.

I was thinking if Optimus Prime can get his trailer, Megatron better transform into a gun or at least call out a big gun. The gun he used in the forest to blast Prime is not big enough. He needs to attach it to his hand always and log it around.
