Dark of the Moon The Official Transformers 3 News And Speculation Thread

Even if the latest news sound decent, I'm still going to be wary of it. I'm only getting burned once. I already decided not to go to the theater on the opening day and wait till I hear from trusted people that it isn't an incoherent mess like ROTF. I still haven't watched that Movie more than once.

You've not heard of Alan Tudyk?

Firefly...Serenity.... Dodgeball.... Knights Tale....

Nathan won't be happy until its revealed that EVERYONE human dies and Transformers is similar to Glengarry GlenRoss in terms of tone....no laughing or fun is allowed

EVER

You truly are a BLACKLANTERN.

We wanted IRON MAN, instead we got BORAT.
Imagine if ET or Close Encounters had a scene where a guy drops his pants and you see his ugly old ass in a thong on screen. Imagine if in Toy Story 2 Buzz Lighter grabs onto the Toy Collector's trousers and exclaims, "I am beneath the enemy's scrotum"

Do we even want, need or deserve that kind of humor?

Go and watch AMERICAN PIE if you like that kind of ****!

so every movie should be the same

No Never! For every Citizen Kane, we need a The Room to separate the good from the bad. The problem with Transformers is that there is an inherent charm and beauty to it coupled with good characters, story and a massive universe.

Unfortunately it has been bogged down by the likes of Micheal Bay and his posse and turned into something awful with crass humor, bad acting and confusing visuals. The crude humor is the worst of it. The jokes don't fit with the tone. What is supposed to be a coming of age story is instead turned into a poor man's Pineapple Express or American Pie with giant robots

It's like if someone made a Batman movie but for no reason put in sex scenes
I like both Batman and sex scenes in films but I don't want them together

On the other hand a John Woo inspired fight scene in a Batman film would be heaven

Transformers 3 should have Primus in it since Epps asked the question of who made the Transformers in "his" image in TF:ROTF if the Allspark doesn't turn out to be Primus,The Quintessons in the movie universe should be ignored if Primus exists in it,well for one reason. But they can still be around as as the different things that they are.

what? You think Orsen Welles never played football in a tuxedo while standing only 6 feet away from the person he's playing with?

I am with the group of people that will wait a couple days after opening night to truly find out how the movie turned out. I will not be drug in again to the tasteless humor which was ROTF.

Honestly if Bay wanted to connect with the audience in that form then I would agree he should have made just another American Pie film. There isnt room in Transformers for humping robots or men in thongs or mindless racist twin robots. He tries to "connect" with an adolescent age bracket he feels will be the majority seeing his film and turns the film into exactly that...an immature teen flick, not a Transformers movie we've all been waiting and hoping for.

I wont say ALL of TF and TF2 was bad there were deff parts that I liked, but at the end of the night when I left the theatre I couldnt help just thinking about all the unecessary stuff we didnt need to see.

Heres to hoping 3rd times a charm.

Thank you Nick! Nice to see that some intelligent people are left in the world.

i will, like the gullible fool that i am, see this movie on opening weekend... but i will be going in to this with a battle plan that has served me well in the past. I enter this movie with with one thing firmly planted on the forefront of my brain. thats this is a michael bay film, and that i should expect nothing more than explosions, dirty jokes, and lots more 'splosions. If i should get anything above this, i will leave the theatre pleasantly surprised... if i not, than i shall leave receiving all that i expected and nothing more. fully satisfied? no, probably not... but not let down either.

We have to be like the civilians from Half-Life 2 who are given daily beatings and just hope that the COMBINE Police don't use the electric batons, only the regular ones

yeah, but Bay uses the ones that cause EXPLOSIONS!

So, are The Twins in this or not? These reports a very conflicting.

Bay said no.... but there's the pics of the two Sparks with Twin colours...

I think they are TBH.

Honestly there hasnt been much news ATM where I'm going "wow thats a bad idea". Then again I really didnt know much of the "wow thats a bad idea" moves he pulled in ROTF before I saw the movie myself either.

I will take all of the information with a grain of salt, wait until Saturday or Sunday of the opening week to read the reviews and comments on here then I will figure out what to do.

I am really hoping for a solid though from MB this time around. I love Transformers.

I'm hoping they've all realised where they went wrong with ROTF... and don't do the same mistakes again

all Hasbro seems to care about is the bottom line....and the first two films took care of that issue

TF3 could be about the Transformers against the Gobots in a dance off and people will still go see it in droves

Labeouf is now completely redeemed in my eyes.

Labeouf has now shot up back to my top 10 favorite actors.

that is good...it ties into his whole philosophy towards acting, he sees it as a job and any job worth doing is worth doing well according to him

Wow, a lot of actors are really interacting with the audience.

Chris Evans admits he was nervous about taking Cap.
Chris Evans basically summarizes the character of Cap, and says that he would like the story even if it weren't superhero-based.
Shia admits TF2 and Indy 4 weren't good.
Chris Hemsworth doesn't dodge a question about the Avengers, unlike most people involved, and confirms that Joss Whedon is directing, without even being asked about him.

Bad. Ass.
