The crude humour in Bay's movies tend to be offensive

Yeah, i don't mind subtle, crude humor. You know, the kind in the Shrek movies where is so subtle only adults tend to get it and kids are oblivious to it, but the kind in the TF movies are in your face stuff like dogs boning each other full blast, Transformers with gigantic testicals, and robots dry humping. I mean serously, does anyone actually like the humor in the movies, or is it just for Bay's own amusement? The complaints are pretty universal on the net and i can't see soccor moms who take their kids to see these movies happy about it, so the general audience isn't receptive to it either.

to whom exactly?

Yeah I remember in IM2 when War Machine showed off his balls.

Robots don't have balls, or should we come down on donland duck for indecent exposure.
it would be equivilent to some character telling that character to put some pants on cause they can see his crotch. (and then ppl in the audience feeling offended)

It was a scene made humourous via context and from the mouth of an observer...to imply that it actually happened would be something out of tons of other movies and not in fact Transformers, buttt, considering no one actually cares/talks about said movies the nagging continues.

Sentinal Prime looked a bit different then that in the most recent comics, he played a big part in 'Megatron:Origin' and his look in that wasnt TOO disimlar from what we get in the trailer.

I'm curious to know who the other bots are as well though.
Sorry about that. I meant to include that the picture was from G1.

It was offensive to me...

And, no, it isn't in context. It's not even funny.

If there are people that think the jokes are funny then fine, but I don't.

Although I didn't find the humour offensive, I agree that is was beyond idiotic.

My gf and I wanted to smack my buddy upside the head when we left the theatre after seeing TF2. He said he liked it a lot better than the first one. I just found it hard to believe he liked part 2 more.

I just don't find wrecking balls offensive, but I respect each individual opinion.

There are many films that push humor to "offensive" levels but it is something about transformers that has people really calling the race card and what not. I just find it interesting. Especially in a year when there was literally a Black Face running around on screens.

anyway, maybe your pal found the second one better cause the first one sucked as bad as everyone says.

I don't mind the humour. It could be toned a bit, but, I don't find it offensive.

I think the humor in the first one fine; the second one is not offensive but they just don't work. Comedy, even slapstick, is an art form and Transformers 2 just went for the easy and cheap stuff.

So the 'wrecking balls' sight gag in T2 was just kinda lame. You know what's a better balls joke?

I would prefer that they tone the humour down a tad, and add some intelligence to it too, but I must say, my Wife and I found the wrecking balls comments pretty funny.

I have friends that think the wrecking balls are funny too... but is that the best they can come up with? It is sad if it is.

There was some crude humour in the Iron Man films, but at least they were subtle enough to be ignored by those who don't find it funny

None of the humor was offensive. It was just immature and idiotic. It was something out of a frat boy comedy taken way too far.

This is based on an 80's children's toy line and we have balls and humping robots. That's too idiotic to be offensive.

the only thing i found a bit too much was Mojo dominating Frankie... Devastators balls and the Twins humour weren't a problem...

but why did we have gay doggie sex???

How was the humor subtle?

This is Christive, she did a spread for me too, she even did an article also.

Happy being distracted by Widow changing in the back of the car.

That is not subtle.

in iron mans defense, that's all contributive to characterization (mostly)

even if there were strippers in his jet complete with stripper poles.
mysogonistic filmmaker? no it's just fun.

I didn't find the wrecking ball joke offensive, just dumb. As others have said, I'm more offended about how lame a joke it is. Look at Pixar movies which are more aimed at kids. They have jokes that kids can enjoy but the humor doesn't make adults roll their eyes either. TF's humor to me seems to always go for the lowest common denominator. It's the Dane Cook of franchises.

Pointing to other movies is pathetic.

All of that is inherent in material. Transformers was never about learning the bodily functions or sexual habits of robot. ****ing Jetfire farting out a parachute. Wheelie constantly dry humping Megan Fox's leg. Bumblebee urinating on people. Let's also not forget dogs humping each other. That needs to be in a Transformers movie because?

Car Car Binks was the most offensive thing of all.

Yes, that crap shouldn't be in the movies, but it is so get over it. There's nothing we can do about it now.

All we can do is hope that Bay wasn't lying and that it's toned down, or completely gone, in the next 1.

Yea there are a lot of offensive jokes and stuff, but there are more good stuff in the Transformers that I enjoyed. So what I liked about it covers what I didn't like about it.

you have two options, laugh if you find it funny or don't.
I know what most 10 year olds do.

being offended is just odd to me, but to each their own.

I agree that I didnt really find the humor offensive just extremely childish and idiotic. I smerked in the movie theatre I think more so that I couldnt believe that they would make such a crued immature joke like that.

I am really reluctant to take Bays word that this film will be more mature and with less potty humor. Of course like everyone else Ill go see it. I just hope im not dissapointed.

I want more artful and intimate battles like the Optimus/Starscream/Megatron battle was in the woods. I have to agree I got goosebumps when Primes said "Ill take you all on!" That was an epic fight and those types of battles where you actually care about the characters and not random masses of TF's running around blasting eachother are what I really look forward to.

The teaser trailer was okay. It sure got me excited to see the movie.
Can't wait to see how Shockwave looks.

really? not trying to be funny, but please tell me what you enjoyed.

i am having a hard time wrapping my mind around anyone truly enjoying these movies.
