So what does the Ark do? And what role does it play in this movie?

It's basically like Han Solo's Millenium Falcon but with a buttload more cybertronian artillery & tech gadgets, they can use it as a command center & repair station plus It will give the autobots a chance to leave earth for the first time since they arrived in first movie. Hopefully it doesn't get destroyed like everything else was in the other movies & the Autobots are finally able to make it off of earth.

I don't think they'll leave Earth. Also, it appears that [BLACKOUT]Ironhide will die.[/BLACKOUT] :csad:

I wonder
[BLACKOUT] if masses will scream white racism when that happens[/BLACKOUT]

"Sense"? Bayformers? Someone didn't see the last movie.

the Ark is the Autobots spaceship that Sentinel Prime was using to search for more Energon. There may be something that the Apollo astronauts take from it that Shockwave wants

But why make Sentinal Prime's face look like Alpha Trion and keep the rest of his design faithful, it makes little sense.

Maybe they just blended the 2 characters into 1 bot design & forgot about Alpha Trion ever existing. Is the rumored Einstein-bot a new bot created specifically for the movie when they could have just as easily have used Alpha Trion from the beginning?

^The Einstein bot could be anyone, not necessarily Alpha Trion as he hasnt been confirmed as being in the movie.

I will be very disappointed and upset if this turns out to be true. It is just speculation correct?

Probably. I'd assume most, if not all the Decepticons will die since this is the last film in Bay's universe.

Optimus doesn't really show much emotion.

Unless face ripping is involved.

Or protecting annoying kids.

fair enough

however I have "seen" alot more emotion out of him ever since the faceplate came off.

sadness isn't the only emotion one can register.

as far as emotional arcs, Optimus isn't the protagonist. last time I checked, optimus seemed pretty down about jazz.

He seems as emotional as any other Optimus. The only real difference is his 80s action cartoon lead character charm is replaced with a more mellow persona that occasionally regurgitates catchphrases from his previous incarnation.

Never said it was.

I don't remember OP being too upset about Jazz. Though I was probably distracted by him holding half of his carcass in each hand. He could have at least given Jetfire a "Thanks brah".

it's actually the non catch phrases of modern optimus that stand out to me personally. But hey, who can argue with charm.

i'm glad, cause that would then imply every word uttered by a character has an emotion behind it, weather it be implied by the plot or even pitch...I didn't hear one emotionless word out of optimus mouth, some were even dramtic, filled with rage or filled with regret...

jazz died at the end and when the dust settled op has about 13mis till the end of the movie, there was plenty of time after the credits(which is implied).
op didn't know who that guy was and neither do I.

spoiler
[BLACKOUT]that's a fallen autobot bee is morning in the superbowl spot.[/BLACKOUT]

To each their own. I find modern Optimus boring and kind of a downer.

There was emotion in the films. It just came from shallow characters.

Don't have to know a guy to thank them for helping you out and the movie made it clear who Jetfire was. To me anyway.

[BLACKOUT]Didn't know he was mourning. Looked like he was under a lot of pressure.[/BLACKOUT]

well, maybe the next time optimus sees him, he'll remember to thank him...(on camera to boot)

I'm really impressed by how Sentinel Prime's design turned out. I think I just might get his toy when it comes out.

And I also wouldn't mind seeing Leonard Nimoy briefly come out of retirement to lend his voice.

Yeah Sentinel Prime shaped up to be quite impressive, so most likely Optimus Prime won't be the only Autobot powerhouse.

I know Iron Side is one of the toughest autobots, but he's clearly not on Optimus/Megatrons level.
