Transformers seem to be able to heal from minor injuries, but the Autobots you mention have Ratchet to repair them. I suppose that doctor thing from ROTF is the Decepticon answer to Ratchet, but it's quite possible Megatron will be an outcast to start off. I don't understand what's wrong with a truck mode either, Megatron's been lots of things at this point even a racecar and a mastadon/hand/dragon/jet (whatever else you could transform RiD Megs/Galv into). The truck mode is an interesting selection, it's a bit like the Motormaster/Nemesis Prime thing which is a fairly popular Transformer thing now a days. I kind of like the cloak too, but that's just me. It's just a more interesting and experimental take on the character than what's usually done, so I can appreciate that.

It's an interesting take on the character, one I'm curious to hear the circumstances of.

However, this is bayformers, change is bad.

Leonard Nimoy Voicing Sentinel Prime

Mr. Spock himself, Leonard Nimoy, has joined the film as the voice of Sentinel Prime, the predecessor of Optimus Prime whose wrecked body is seen in the teaser trailer, found crash-landed on the moon by the Apollo 11 astronauts in 1969. Later, after being brought to earth, he takes the disguise form of a fire engine in the movie’s massive, climactic battle through Chicago.

Transformers filmmaker Michael Bay had toyed with the idea of inviting him to play a voice in the second movie, Revenge of the Fallen, but wasn’t sure he could pay the veteran actor enough. “I was too scared to ask him,” the director says. “Plus, he’s married to Susan Bay, who’s a cousin of mine. So I had to be careful. I’ve met him at family functions. But he told me, ‘I would be honored. I’m glad to be back!’”

Bay has been open about changing course with this third Transformers movie and making a stronger story than the critically pulverized last one. He says part of that is giving the metallic characters a bit more soul, even if they’re villains. “The robots have more character in this movie. Much more. You really understand their struggle, on both sides actually,” Bay says.

Great news indeed, Sentinel Prime's facial design looks alot like a robotic Leonard Nimoy with facial hair anyways, & to think I thought that it might of been James Avery. Here's to hoping that we get a "Live Long & Prosper" line out of Sentinel Prime in the movie.

I've wanted Nimoy to get back involved with TF for awhile now. During the lead-up to ROTF, I was hoping he'd voice the Fallen. So I'm happy my wish came true.

Yeah Soundwave is going to appear in the movie so I'm assuming Welker will return if he'll will have lines in the movie, now the question is if he will have a bigger role than ROTF or not? I'm guessing yes, but it's probably by not that much though.

In hindsight, I'd agree. Still, I think his gravely voice would've sounded badass coming out of that design, had the character been handled better.

The current rumor floating around is that Soundwave will be disguised as Carly's Mercedes SLS. And it appears that he'll be in the climax battle.
