as I was hoping/thinking that they were using his comics persona.

Regardless, the other spoilers sound promising, especially that particular scene with Soundwave.

one of two things is happening here

1. haters are letting their curiosity get the better of them(like they always do)

2. the general audience really did make TF2 the biggest film of 2009 and they will make TF3 even bigger.

I really think that the Transformers films raised the bar on trailers out there. The way music and sound effects are used in ROTF and DOTM spots and trailers have been insane and others have been trying to rip it off. Which is very understandable cause they are so bad ass.

Inception and DK are the best of the best as well. If any trailer will be better then DOTM it will be Dark Knight Rises.

Definitely. His play out very much like music videos. Nothing wrong with that. The NIN, Muse and Lords Of Acid songs he chose for his flicks are all awesome. The Transformer trailers, Dark Knight and Inception are the best out there imo.

Inception set the bar so damn high in terms of trailers.. the last one was the best one I had ever seen. The music was so epic, people did trailers for their fav movies to it... it was pitch perfect in terms of dialogue and music timing.

I personally think the best trailers play off of the hype and elevation factor of the second. Objectively it's hard to say what's the best, but they certainly are the most effective.

Phantom menance was a "good" trailer, but because of the context..wow.

Same for the matrix Reloaded, Same for Blade 2(for me anyway), Same for Spiderman, Same for Joker looking like the Crow in TDK trailer, and same for Return of the Fallen.
These are about the best trailers imo cause they get these insane reactions that out class any trailer for an original property. Trailers for second sequels get actually bigger reactions (if the sequel was good) but nothing beats the first sequel.

Snyder just makes beautiful trailers and that's that. I can't wait to see the superman footage he shoots come in. Cavil is soooo damn perfect it's insane.

I forget the Blade Two trailer. Snyder has amazing visuals and he mixes the trailers with bad ass music, its hard not to like. IM sure his Trailer for Supes will be epic. Cant wait to see him actually beat people up.

I look at the timing of edits, build up, how much story they are giving away, sound effects and song choice. All that stuff comes into play for a great trailer. If your one second off on timing that can kill an adrenaline charged moment. The hype matters but that can also hurt it. That first Green Lantern trailer sucked pretty bad imo.

Yea but the gl trailer is bad for obvious reasons, none to intricate.

I do think tone is a huge factor with this genre of trailers, it's so interesting to see the GL response shift once the tone of the trailer became appropriate. It's the same movie but they are showing different stuff and music and editing and what not. In reality it never looked any more silly that Iron Man ended up being but the genre audience needs to believe in the tone of their trailers.

In all honestly one could cut a trailer for TDK that was worse and similar to the initial gl one if they wanted, and I've actually seen people fix the batman forever one just by shifting the tone.

whats cool is how much influence trailer cutting has over the audience.

The first GL trailer should have ripped off the new star trek ones imo.

That was well done. Really all about the song choices, they used the song from Dark City (brilliant trailer as well) and darker sounding operatic stuff. But the action beats were there. If I replaced the soundtrack with the Batman Forever score that would change it up a quite a bit. It would still be better then the BF trailer. Music is instant emotion, so choosing a bad song can def switch the overall tone. I actually think if they had a memorable song in Lantern that might have changed the reaction. The X First class trailer getting a pretty strong feedback and I think its 90% for that song used. It plays to the music very well with just enough lines developing the story.

These Transformer trailers play with Sound effects and score beats perfectly and a bit more original then the others. Just watched the ROTF teaser again. So awesome.

What's really interesting is how many trailers work with the inception remix (especially dark knight)

I'm not fond of the first class choice in music to be honest, I think last stand had the best music personally, I do love their trailers though.

Yeah, The Inception horn makes everything instantly epic haha.

They are overplaying that FC song for sure. I liked it for the first trailer now its getting repetitive. Another reason why I like the advertising for Transformers, all these trailers have been different in some way, even though they show alot of the same footage.
