it was never confirmed by Bay & co i believe.... just Avery's agent.

It could be he was set to voice Sentinal... then something happened and Nimoy ended up with the role? Who knows really

Personally, I think there's a good chance that the theory that Silverbolt was a placeholder name for one of the Wreckers has some merit. I could see his voice fitting Leadfoot.

Or he had DOTM mixed up with 'Prime'.

By the way, it's kind of interesting to see how buff Shia's gotten over the series. Definitely plays into that whole character arc of his character going from boyhood to manhood.
