Catwoman is perfect for it. She's female, but like Batman is in a costume. Batman can't get closer to any other of the rogues than her. The idea of Catwoman would be more present playing on Batman himself. Batman can't see that much of Gordon as much because he's on the run, but Catwoman could fill his place in ways. While Bruce thinks Batman is a burden, by using Catwoman, it's kind of a counter argument to his problem. It would make him think again about being Batman and what it's about to be in a costume. Another theme they can explore potentially. In TDK, Bruce wanted to get out of it, now he is stuck with it, so how does he handle that? I'm sure Bruce would think about her, and then Selina. Not as a love interest but more of a person who is there for him and understands. Not really a moral compass. But someone, a female who can provide a levy for Bruce. He now would just have Alfred and Lucius as Bruce in this film. Dent and Rachel are gone, those two were the links he had to leading a normal life. Now he's stuck with Alfred and Lucius. He needs more than that I think. Catwoman does much more than you think.

I wouldn't mind Catwoman appearing as an ally of Batman, someone who can go undercover and keep Batman in the loop as to what is happening on the criminal side of the fence. However, I don't want Catwoman as a love interest just for one film. Hints that something may develop between them in the future don't bother me, but to have her as an outright love interest after the Supposed love of Bruce's life has just died cheapens the character IMO.

I would like to see Bruce try to avoid dealing with the death of Rachel. He throws himself into his role as Batman, being more aggressive and brutal than he would normally be. This leads him to begin making little mistakes, something which the next villain could take advantage of.

Alfred grows concerned over Bruce's reckless behaviour. Bruce tries to prove to Alfred that he is fine and begins dating Vicki Vale, who it turns out is doing a newspaper article on Batman. Vicki also seems to have some personality characteristics similar to Rachel, something which Alfred picks up on. Bruce takes Vicki out on dates and they do what normal couples expect to do although there is no feeling behind it on Bruce's part. Vicki becomes increasingly aware of Bruce's detachment to the given situation over the course of the movie and eventually calls him out about his feelings. Vicki and Bruce break up and Bruce begins to deal with Rachel's death.

@ Doc Jones

So basically, you want to turn Selina Kyle into a substitute for Robin? I know that is not what you are literally saying, but it seems that is what you have hinted at. I suppose it would be nice to give him another person to rely on, but that would be a gross injustice to the Catwoman character. It took decades of stories to get to the point where Bruce Wayne understands the often complex personality of Selina Kyle, the sometimes villain that moonlights as a goody-two-shoes.

It wouldn't make sense for Batman (especially the brutal, no-nonsense depiction that Nolan has given us) to suddenly become allies with a criminal. Unless the criminal aspect of her character is abandoned. And if that were the case, again, it would be a gross injustice to the character of Catwoman. But I see where you are ultimately going with your argument. I suppose it would be nice to give the viewers another way to explore the Batman identity, by introducing somebody who would force Bruce to take on a different introspective lens when thinking over his reasons for being Batman. I am still not convinced that Selina Kyle is the best way to achieve that goal, but I can understand your reasoning.

@ALittlePush

I dig the idea of a more ruthless and reckless Batman, working through the loss of Rachel Dawes. I even agree that SK should not be the love interest, but did you really have to pull Vale from out of the hat? Let her stay a part of Tim Burton's films. There are other, better love interests to pull from. Silver St. Cloud, Zatanna? Heck, bring in Talia. That would be a great way to tie back into the first film.

-Wayne Manor rebuilt with a new Batcave

-a mention of what happened with The Joker, something along the lines of Gordon mentioning "Only he and Batman know the truth about Dent, and The Joker but where he is locked up he will never see the light of day again"

-a film on par with BB & TDK

-Arkham Asylum

-a scene similar to the one in Phantasm would be great too, where the Swat helicopter is chasing him down and firing at him,.. you know since every one hates Batman now... :(

-Maybe a scene near the end where Bruce visits his parents grave. or maybe it shows him visit his parents graves along with Harvey and Rachels

- freaks taking over Gotham like in The Long Halloween/Dark Victory would be nice but it would be hard for Nolan to achieve this with Two Face dead & him stating The Joker will not appear understandably... If the Ledger were still alive Id have loved to see the jealous Joker from TLH trying to get himself some more spot light.. kindof hard with Crane being the only freak established, and not near the importance of The Joker or Harvey Dent going mad...

-Maybe something along the terms of The Dark Knight returns where Batman realizes a lot more of the corruption beyond just mobsters, cops, judges and freaks could stem from politicians and even higher powers..

-Id probably go with The Riddler as a villain too seeing as he tests Batman intellectually and "Who is Batman?" will be a big question in the next film..

-Coleman Reese turning up dead wouldn't be bad either since everyone probably hates him after what he caused in TDK and everyone must know that little rat knows who Batman is..

I want Arkham like a bit from BAA game, I'm not saying show everything maybe show Intensive Treatment. Just a idea.

Well judging from the previous movies Nolan might have three/four villains. A main villain. A mob villain. A side villain. And maybe a small cameo for another one.

BB

Main Villain - Ras
Mob Villain - Falcone
Side Villain - Scarecrow
Cameo Villain - Zsasz

TDK

Main Villain - Joker
Mob Villain - Maroni
Side Villain - Two-Face
Cameo Villain - Scarecrow

Batman 3 (What id' like to see)

Main Villain - The Riddler
Mob Villain - Black Mask/Penguin
Side Villain - Catwoman
Cameo Villain - Firefly

I agree completely, she should start out in the beginning as thief that Batman encounters a few times but later gradually becomes a vigilante like him in the middle or end. When allied, Batman should first hesitate to get romantic (from his side) with her but when he finds Rachel's slightly-burnt letter he realizes that she wanted to be with Harvey and she didn't really love his real persona that is Batman.

Batman 3 (What id' like to see)

Main Villain - The Riddler
Mob Villain - Black Mask/Penguin
Side Villain - Catwoman
Cameo Villain - Firefly

Agree with this except that I'd rather prefer Deadstroke or Deadshot instead of Firefly as the cameo villain.

I can't believe Scarecrow only made a 5 minute cameo, he's more than that. I wish Scarecrow returned. Everytime I play BAA and think about what Scarecrow coukld been in TDK.

What I'd like to see in Batman 3

No Catwoman-Sorry, not interested in seeing the masked love affair yet again. And I don't think Nolan would be good with that particular story.

Riddler as the main villain. The ferry bit in TDK should have been saved for the Riddler as that kind of thing is perfect for the character. Only add in the riddle of course. I also like the idea of the Riddler being part of manhunt for Batman. He could somehow twist the situation to his advantage.

As many have said, the Batcave and a sleeker Batmobile.

A new Bat vehicle would be nice. No jet but rather a helicopter or a boat.

References to both Harvey Dent and the Joker.

I am not against the idea of multiple villains either because, in order to rival the massive menace of the Joker from TDK, they may need to stack the odds against Batman in a huge way.

Riddler--Edward Nygma has a sort of inferiority complex leading him to believe that only the intellectuals of the world truly deserve to live. His complex could be the result of being bullied, harassed, threatened and even beaten by other mobsters and mob muscle that he regarded as his intellectual inferiors.

Black Mask--Roman Sionis grew up in the shadow of Bruce Wayne. His parents wanted him to BE Bruce Wayne. So much like Hush, Sionis was driven to murder both of his parents. The fire looked like an accident. Sionis then becomes a business rival to Bruce Wayne. As Black Mask he leaks weaponry based on Wayne Enterprise tech and design to the up-and-coming "freak" mobs.

Killer Croc--Croc grew up in the sewers of Gotham as a homeless war veteran. He posses one of those rare-but-true skin conditions that leaves him with a scaled-look to his skin. Since the end of TDK, Batman has become a much fiercer vigilante. As a result, the sewers and abandoned subway tunnels are popular routes for weapons and drug runners. Many have killed homeless communities and camps to clear the tunnels for their use.

Croc grows tired of watching this happen and the GPD not doing anything. Thus to get their attention, he rallies many of the homeless into one mass gang with himself as their leader. In order to attract the attention of the GPD, Croc cannibalizes the bodies of those drug and weapons runners he and his gang kill. When it turns out that some of the GPD are well aware of the situation with the mob using the tunnels and killing the homeless of Gotham, Croc takes his gang to the streets of Gotham to make war on the GPD which he views as being totally corrupt.

These are some villains I'd like to see tackled, and the stories I would like to see each given. Obivously a mob-war between Black Mask and Killer Croc could be a subplot--like the Mr. Lau/Mob and Mr. Reese subplot in TDK while Riddler is part of the main plot ala the Joker.

Regardless of who is used, I want to see that Gotham's streets are now warzones for the last remains of the traditional mob and the newly arisen freak mobs, inspired by Joker and Batman.

The only thing i want to see: ZEPPLINS roaming the city. hehe.

Mob Villain - Tony Zucco

Wait, huh?
am i missing Something? :confused::confused::confused:

now im lost.

Remember in TDKR, when Batman defeated their gang leader in that mudhole in the dump, then some of them put bat-symbol tattoos on their faces and became radical vigilantes called the 'Sons Of Batman'....S.O.B.s for short? Then at the end of the story, when the whole city disintegrates into riots and chaos, Batman recruits all of them into helping him restore order. That's what I meant.

The Mutant Gang? They were from a future version of Gotham. I don't see them being in Batman 3. Especially since we're still at the beginning of Batman's career.

I think they could be adapted quite well into this version, and we're not necessarily in the Nolan version beginning of his career anymore. Could be a nice element to the whole 'grand finale feel of this last chapter. Let's say if Bats was unseen for five-something years after the evens to TDK, they could be a big part of what's happened to the city in that time, along with the rest of the deterioration, corruption, street war, etc. And taming/recruiting a group of native savages, if you will, could be the key ingredient for making his last stand in a decisive battle for Gotham. So you could bring in major elements from TDKR, but not have Batman be as old.

We've discussed this elsewhere, but this particular version of Batman doesn't have to keep going for 30-something years...it could amount to only ten if the story is structured well that way. And if they do want to send this trio of stories in that vein, this could be a cool version.

I want to see Batman dress up like a real bat, not robocop impersonating bat. He should wear a dark hairy brown suit and put in fangs. That can also capitalize on the vampire market so the next movie will make much more money.
