Every hero must fall first before they can rise, my friend. :cwink:
You want a zombie Batman?
A hit single in the vein of Seal's "Kiss from a Rose".

I'm serious.
Schumacher's movies may have had a lot of faults, but they did definitely have some awesome music. :awesome: This one was on the Batman and Robin soundtrack and I think it's one of the best Batman songs ever.

I prefer that song in SLO-MO. :awesome:

Begins was more emotionally engaging because Bruce (the lead character) had more dramatically impactful moments from scene to scene.

In TDK it felt like he was almost a secondary character because Harvey got the real meat to chew on. Sure Batman drives the plot, but when it came to his time to shine emotionally, the character was written as someone almost Jedi-like in his growth, compared to the emotional wreck of a character who was unhinged in Begins.

I am hoping we get back to Bruce's plight more in RISES.

I agree.

I really felt for Bruce in TDK. There is a lot that is kept in the background and told subtly through action and reaction in TDK, and I felt as emotionally involved with Bruce as I did with BB. I'd say that BB was definitely more overt in its emotional ties to Bruce (not that that is a bad thing at all), whereas TDK kept it subtle, and told Bruce's emotional story through multiple characters, decisions, motivations, etc. I'd be fine with either method for TDKR, or a nice balance would be great too. I really hope we see how Gordon is affected by going along with Bats' plan, and I hope we get some nice mirrors between how Gordon and Bruce cope.

I was watching Begins the other day, and damn every time that stethoscope music came on... i got chills. When kid Bruce goes to the funeral, when he's looking at the stethoscope, etc, etc...

Since we're not getting Riddler(with most wanting a zodiac killer who leaves clues) I'd have loved to see Mr. Zsasz in a large role(not main villain but at least supporting). He's a great psychological villain and I've always wanted to see Batman face a sick real life type serial killer. Unfortunately he was already featured in a cameo in BB so we won't be seeing him either..

I want Bale's Bats to evolve into Neal Adam's hairy chested love god!I mean,in TDK he was pining for Rachel almost like Peter Parker in the comics!

I think both films were emotionally engaging but on different levels. BB was more like getting to know (what will become) a good friend. TDK was about having that friend going through tough times. I hope the next one is more of an emotionally triumphant feeling.

I gotta be honest, TDK had me emotionally numb for most of the film. There's just so much going on in it, and most of it's very negative stuff, and the fact that Gotham's become sterile and Kubrickian just contributed to it. There was that moment of light on the ferries, but that was quickly eclipsed by Two-Face's actions. The only part that really made me feel emotional at all was Gordon's speech at the end. In comparison, Begins had a few moments that I found to be emotionally engaging, such as the murder of the Waynes, the scene with a wounded Bruce and Alfred in the lift, and the budding friendship between Batman and Gordon.

I can agree with some of this, but I also think TDK necessitated the pace because of who was involved. The Joker was doing things that were time sensitive in almost every instance, Bruce was always against the clock, on defense, as it should be, because this was his first encounter with anyone like that, he wasn't prepared. BB to me was like his tutorial for taking down organized crime figures. Even Ras wasn't a true maniac, just a man like himself who didn't harbor his same feelings of restraint towards criminals.

But TDK was his tutorial on dealing with true, certifiable lunatics in Joker & Two-Face. There wasn't much time for soul searching given the circumstances, even though I will say that the scene after Rachel's death between Alfred & Bruce was more emotionally charged than anything in BB, IMO

1) **If** there are plans for bringng back Ra's I want to find out that the french guy Ducard was not Ra's Al Ghul....and Ken Watanabe IS. And if this is the case I want a real good looking old school Talia by his side, Ubu...and rumor talk of the Lazurus Pit and Ra's being hundreds of years old.

2) I would like some mention of the Joker, even a bit of video footage from his cell wearing his clown makeup because he demands it....showing he's getting some pull around arkham.

3) The batcave in full form.

4) A batmobile...that looks like a bad azz sports car complete with oldschool bat head hood cover. I'm thinking of a car posted 2 or so months ago on a disscusion thread on here.

5) A bulked up Chris Bale.

6) A costume that combines more elements of the actual costume from the comics and less robo-bat. I want want a suit made from a special clothe. to paraphrase a quote on the hype ; it's not imppossile to create a clothe costume that looks fantastic "only the will and imagination/desire is lacking"

7) An Alfred that does not try to make snyde sarcastic remarks ala Frank Miller that imply he thinks Bruce is crazy (like the "crazy ex-boyfriend you have no idea" exchange)

8) The voice from Batman Begins.

9) a Batman now in more emotional control in the face of overwelming odds and insanity, the man in control of himself, no more over emotional crazy guy. He practically advertised who he is by his emotional actions! He must be more detatched, analytical, and collected. Let Bruce handle the heavier emotional moments and even then he should exercise control-this man is trained in focused. I want to see the guy from BEGINS.

10) The Gotham City we saw in begins and less chitown.

11)Batman down on the street-level running down street thugs for info, swooping down on alley crimes. maybe even talking to a couple of prostitutes for someones whereabouts. One thing I like from the amazing Denny O'niel/ Neal Adams comics run is that Batman actually talked to people. he wasn't all dark, broody, solitary and tormented-he mixed it up with people. I'm thinking a little of this would be cool.

12) Batarangs

13) Bruce in his suit sans cowl working in a crime lab complete with beakers, chemicals etc.

14) Batman pulling up to Arkhams gravel road in that bad azz car as we hear the crunching stones, stepping out and walking toward the gate to meet Gordon.

15) A Bruce Wayne gravyard scene visiting the grave of his parents.

16) A great mystery/detective story as the backbone to some kick ass action.

Ha! Reminds me of my Chistmas list list I used to write when I was ten. All that's missing are mini illustrations next to each line:woot:

and like those lists there are some fine requests:)

I want to see an Anton Chigurh moment. What I mean by this is, I want to see a scene where Batman has had his suit ripped through in some of his vulnerable areas by some form of attack, be that police fire or Killer Croc. Following this, he has to go back to the cave and patch himself up. And yes, I realize there was a little bit of this in TDK with the dogs, but I'd like some more extreme injury. A scene like that made Chigurh out to be tough-as-nails and unstoppable, and I think it could work very well in Batman's favour.

IMO, that was excused by the fact that Alfred was the one trying to talk Bruce out of it when he was considering giving up Batman. As the old saying goes, actions speak louder than words, and his actions showed a lot more about how he truly felt about Batman than a couple of harmless jokes did.

Still, in no place in Alfreds thinking should that statement of being crazy even come into question. He was dedicated to the mission in BEGINS as he would be (ideally) in the world of the comics. Being concerned about a man that he helped raise to manhood and who has really in effect acted as his caretaker and a father is one thing but to imply crazy is another. Also, Alfred is dedicated to the legacy of Thomas and Martha Waynes and respects them. Whatever the case Alfred should know Bruce better than that.

In Batmans world being a costumed crime fighter isn't outside the realm of reality. It's the over realism that crept into TDK that invites that kind of remark because if someone suggest to there butler that he wanted to fight crime in the real world the butler would think he was nuts.

This one's even better, imo. (Especially its use in its respective film.)
