TDK was seriously lacking in those, he didn't even use the grappling gun! BATMAN ALWAYS USES THE GRAPPLING GUN!

I think they used a descent amount, The arm blade on Scarecrows van, the little drill thing when he took the brick with the shattered bullet. The Helmet head phone type thing listening in on conversations. The Glider when he jumped off the roof & the gun that shot those tarred up explosives. then there was that whole white eyed sonar bit at the end along when he used the grappling gun..

oh and he shot the blades out of his arm...

I know though it sucks WHY Show us Batman has skates in the boots then just take them away... teasing is what it is.

Yes he did. He used it in the Prewitt building finale. Twice.

Yeah I think someone was not watching closely enough. There were a ton of gadgets he used all throughout the film.

Anyway this would be the holy grail of Batman films if Drew Struzan made a poster for it:awesome:

I want the BB theme in full used in B3, and not that crappy hero theme for Batman we got in TDK.

Just have them use the "Like a Dog Chasing Cars" heroic tune as a hero theme and we're set.

Where was it in Begins? I'm referring to the theme that Zimmer labelled as the theme Batman had not yet earned in BB, but had earned in TDK. It's the theme played during the hostage rescue sequence when Batman is owning the swat team.

I thought it was too light hearted for a Batman theme.

It was in the training sequence with the League of Shadows. Listen to the track "Eptesicus" from the BB soundtrack.

I guess that means that the Joker died on your copy of the DVD? :oldrazz:

I want Batman's name cleared but Bruce Wayne framed for murder by a villian at the movie's end guaranteeing another sequel. ;-)

That's the "Like a Dog Chasing Cars" theme I mentioned, which I find the best superhero theme ever thus far. Not light-hearted at all, but fully heroic, imo. Unfortunately, that wasn't Batman's theme.

The theme can be heard 4 times throughout the film:
1)When he appears at the beginning and owns the fake Batmen and the gangs.
2)When the plane lifts him and Lau up from his building in HK.
3)When he drops 2Face from the ledge in the end.
4)Right when the end credits appear. You also heard it immediately when the BB end credits appeared.

If you had meant that, then yeah, I'd have agreed with you. It's too tame, has no steam, it's not really heroic, or epic.

I'd like the film to fast-forward a few years...

Like A Dog Chasing Cars is exactly what i mean when i'm referring to a lackluster theme for Batman. It sounds like a western. Can't tell if you're agreeing with me or not, as you say it's the "best superhero theme ever", in one sentence and then "it's not really heroic" in another.

The theme played when Batman is taking out the fake Batman and Scarecrow should be Batman's 'hero theme', not Like A Dog Chasing Cars, as Zimmer claims it is......

No offense or anything, but those gadgets are pretty weak Bat-gadgets. He used his grapple gun 1-2 times, and of course, all of those other gadgets that aren't really Bat-related. I mean, I could see James Bond using those. I think Micah was referring to more Bat-related gadgets like the Batarangs, more grapple gun, smoke bombs, etc.

Now, all the gadgets he used in TDK are fine, and I know Batman uses gadgets similar to that all the time, but for the most part, we want something to promote the theme of Batman. Having a gun that shoots exploding putty, an arm blade, or drill doesn't really scream "Batman" to me. So I agree with Micah, I want more bat-gadgets. :cwink:

Between the two movies, he's never used smoke bombs (I don't think they've ever been used in any of the movies). He used the batarangs once (the dock scene to smash a couple of lights).

Grapple gun and flying cape are the only 'Bat' related gadgets he used on any kind of regular basis. Not counting his vehicles, of course.

I don't think he did, even though Ra's was showing him about it.

He also used his "bat-whistle" in the bottom of his boot, which is VERY Bat-esque. :cwink:

True. But aside from Year One, I've never seen him use it in the comics.

I don't think I have either.

My point, was that I want more Bat-related gadgets. Not over-the-top, campy, kinda gadgets, but some that have a more bat-vibe to them. I was just shocked that he never used his batarangs in TDK, when we saw them in his arsenal, but they were never used.:csad:

There's a misunderstanding here, and it's probably my fault.

I'm disagreeing with you as far as "Like A Dog" is concerned. It's my favorite superhero theme.

The theme that played in the 4 occasions that I mentioned before (the 1st being, as you said, the scene where he owns the fake Batmen and the Scarecrow gang) is actually the "hero theme" that Zimmer intended for Batman. It is, of course, not the "Like A Dog" theme.
It played immediately after BB ended (its end credits start with it) and then appeared in TDK 4 times. So, you got your wish, that theme is Batman's theme. That theme is also the one I find "not really heroic".

Hope I cleared it out. In essence, I disagree with you 100%!:woot:

He did use a smoke bomb in B89 at Axis Chemicals......

I also agree, we need more batarang use, grapple gun, and use of his cape.

^If you look at the first sentence closer, he does say ANY of the movies......take a look, LOL.
