The Dark Knight Rises The Official "What Do YOU Want in the Sequel?" Thread

A bit off topic, but I have been listening to TDK soundtrack plenty recently (again).

I think I know which track or cut should be used at the end of B3...potentially of course.

Track 8 which is titled "Like a Dog Chasing Cars".

The cut from 2:13-3:38 would be simply emotionally epic to use leading to the end of the film.

In my mind, I can see Gordon and Ramirez talking at the rooftop of the GCPD, about how The Batman hasn't been seen or heard of for over 6 months.

Ramirez would ask Gordon, "Do you think we will ever see him again"?

Gordon then would look to the covered up and hidden new Bat signal and say to Ramirez, "We can only hope". Then he would reach for the lever and turn on the Signal once again.

Then we would see both Gordon and Ramirez looking up at the signal while the music is playing and then we would see Lucious Fox standing up from his CEO desk or (perhaps Mayor desk) at Wayne Enterprises looking at the new signal that hasn't been seen in quite some time.

After Lucious we would then see Selina Kyle gazing up toward the new signal from her Apartment balcony.

Then we would see Alfred near the Wayne grave site looking up at signal.

Finally at the end of the music track at around the 3:20-3:38 mark, the camera would move downward underneath the ground and spiral toward the deep dark empty Bat Cave, where we see the large LED computer monitors turn on all of sudden by themselves it seems like showing the signal in the sky.

We would then see a silhouette of a person rise from a big chair that is front of the large LED screens from the back and stare at the Bat signal on the screens and then the music would come to an end at 3:38 and the screen goes black.

The title of the film then shows and the list of actors in the film start to roll.

A simply epic ending when I envision it in my mind when I listen to that track from the 2:13 to 3:38 mark. :batman

I truly hope that is the case. I still remember watching the scene in Batman Begins where puts the fear into the guys at the dock. I actually thought it was like watching a horror movie. That's how good it was. I want to see more of "that guy" in the third film.

:up::up:

I want more bat vehicles. A new and improved batmobile is a must, but I'd also like to see a batwing or batboat. Those might seem unlikely, but I never thought we'd see a batbike (a.k.a. batpod) in a Nolan movie, either.

-Batman should be mysterious and stealthy like he was in Batman Begins
-The film should be suspenseful like Nolan's Memento
-They should get back to the formalistic visual atmosphere of Batman Begins
-Reduction of cliche action sequences like chases/explosions by replacing them with martial arts combat and detective work
-It should be psychologically darker than Batman Begins but not more depressing like The Dark Knight was
-Selina Kyle/Catwoman as the love interest/anti-heroine
-Edward E. Nygma as the main villain
-Hugo Strange as the side villain

I agree, except the love interest... :woot:
Catwoman again???
For the love of God...NO Catwoman in Batman 3!

I second that NO Catwoman in Batman 3. Here's what I want to see...I really could care less is Bruce has a love interest in this movie, he's on the run, so he's probably more concerned about continuing his work as Batman and staying off the radar of the GCPD to worry about a girlfriend. I want no less than two villains and no more than three. The two I want to see most are Riddler and Black Mask. They don't have to work together, but if they did that would be fine too. I would like to see the Riddler taken in an entirely different direction than we've seen before, make him an incredibly dark character, and most of all he has to be an intelligent psychopath. For Black Mask, he doesn't really have to change much from the comics, so he should definitely be an intimidating freak presence that now heads up what's left of the mob. I figure after what Joker and Two Face did to the mob, having someone like Black Mask running the show only makes sense

Catwoman :oldrazz::woot:

Seriously though. People are making it sound like Catwoman has been in every single Batman movie. I don't get the hate.

For those who want Talia in the film, sorry but that's bad writing, that's seen in sequels from time to time. Bringing in a new character that was closely related(in this case family) to one that died in an earlier film but that earlier film never mentioned anything about this new character. We may know her from the comics but in regards to just being a movie on it's own, that's one of those moves that people are going to look at and think Nolan/WB pulled it out of their ass.

Yeah...fanboys just remember Halle Berrys horrific and ill advised CINO movie and now they hate her.

Fact of the matter is, the movie going public has not seen a more modern, IDEAL and grounded comic source interpretation of the Selina Kyle/Catwoman character before ONSCREEN ever!

Pfeiffers take back in the early 90's was NOT an IDEAL interpretation.

Yeah... as brilliant as Pfeiffer's Catwoman was, she was also (pardon the pun) bat**** insane. Sure, most mentally stable women don't run around in a cat outfit, but Selina's not crazy.

Her craziest moment had to be when she gives herself "a bath" while visiting the Penguin :hehe:

I want to see more of the MCU in Batman 3. I'll keep my fingers crossed for Montoya and Bullock.

A three hour runtime
The Cave
Some semblance of the Waynes and their memory
Leslie Thompkins
Hugo Strange
Catwoman
Riddler
Penguin
Deadshot
Bullock and Montoya
The idea of freaks appearing
An actual mob war
Batman and Gordon actually at odds
A Batsuit that doesn't look ridiculous

Falafel guy. I want to know that he safely survived the gas attack in the narrows. Nolan must ease my troubled mind!

I like Catwoman and would not mind seeing her in the next film but on the other hand I won't complain if she is not in B3.

No need to hope, we have that already.

Leslie Thompkins

Why would retconning be necessary to include Leslie?
