Iron Man 2 The Official Whiplash Thread

You could of knocked me over with a feather and I still shouldn't be at all surprised. I mean how insulting is it to get offered the job for $250,000. That's less than what each cast member of Grey's Anatomy makes per episode. Iron Man 2 isn't going well and it should be because Iron Man doesn't have that great of rouge gallery of villains to make a decent movie with henced Iron Mongul in the first movie.

It's OK, Mickey. DC has a lot of money and a lot of projects. :brucebat:

I'm not going to be upset at all if he isn't in the film. I liked him in SinCity and I'm sure he would do a good job if cast but other people would too. It's not a make or break thing for me.

it's funny how the casting in this movie is like a revolving door. It's just bad luck and bad timing I suppose.

That's why most films come out 3 years apart instead of 2. More wiggle room.

^^^But it's not Marvel that is going public with all this, is it Frostbite?

I dare say they dont want all this out in the open.

Nope, never said it was. I highly doubt Marvel wants this all out either, but the fact is, they should try and keep this all far more hush-hush than it has been.

I'm not complaining about all of this because it's fun. Christ, it's very rarely that anyone will ever see old Frosty actually whining like 3/4ths of the hype. I am just saying, this looks bad and Marvel needs to learn to keep this all locked up. As I said, I've never seen so much talk of negotiations leak out into the open.

I am sure (at least, I hope) Marvel is learning a lesson or two from this about keeping things hush hush.

I think we've never heard this much talk of negotiations before because there's never been a movie that was THIS highly anticipated from a studio as new to the Hollywood game as Marvel is.

^That's possible. Oh, and thaks for continuing to hold the torch for Marvel, Chewy. Somebody's got to fill Advanced Dark's shoes since he got banned. :(

I'm not holding a torch like AD, man. Marvel ****ed up in the TIH editing room and they look to be backing themselves into a corner with Thor's schedule.

If something ****ing sucks, I'll say it ****ing sucks.

I just think there's way too much mud being slung at Marvel over these negotiations, many of which are still being worked out.

Stallone offered him 250,000 and 25 cents. Sold.

At this point, i'm wondering if Thor or Iron Man are going to make their respective summer dates.

^Same here. 1st thing Marvel should've done was pay off the loan once their films made bank. Then they could've gotten a better deal that didn't require 2 major films per year(which is very hard for a small studio like them to do).

Jesus, this movie's really falling apart at the seams, isnt it?

Again, I'll re-iterate.

Marvel arent the ones going public with these stories, it's the actor's concerned (or people close to the actors). In your last post you criticised the way Marvel are conducting themselves, seemingly laying the blame at their door for this latest 'leak'; in the post above you continue with this theme, saying that Marvel should try to make more effort to keep it quiet.

I'll simply ask, what can they do?

I mean, It's not like they can slap a gag order on or anything.

Only two days ago in this message boards I have said: "My spider sense tingling". And now...

is there any good news on Iron Man 2??

I think Rourke would have been great, but I'm more concerned about them casting Black Widow. Emily Blunt is perfect, hopefully they can keep her.

they probably offered her the number combo from Taco Bell and a shiney nickle
