Was just about to post that. You beat me to it. I don't know why they always say Whiplash, it has not been confirmed yet, its pretty much a rumor, and they covered what Mickey said. Its like they want to keep it a secret. Is Whiplash even Russian?

What i wanna know is whether that is the description of how Mickey Rourke will look in the movie or if that's just the description of how Rourke is during the shoot.

Remember the spy-shots of Downey wearing part of the Iron Man armor and the imocap suit. I'm wondering if Roruke was refering to that.
Also it's just me really but if Rourke's suit shows par of his body , that really doesn't seem very practical doesn't it ? Iron Man's weapons are capapble of blowing up tanks and missle. The last thing you'd want is to expose your flesh to that kind of carnage.

As long as he doesn't look like something out of a ****ed up porno like that picture I'll be fine. Combining CD with Whiplash was a smart move. Favreau knows how tired the armored villain can get. And those two aren't very famous villains. Combining those two makes a better threat.

Rogue's galleries are a luxery more than the rule. The only real galleries belong to Flash, Batman, Spiderman and the X-Men

Superman don't have a huge gallery.

Iron Man has a large gallery...not real impressive, but if you start from who he used to bump with, Black Lama, Firebrand, Madarian. He has a certain number of wizards and occultist, before all the boardroom bad guys showed up round the #160's...He bumps w/ Doom every 50th issue.

Naw, but if you include his dual membership as an Avenger it gets a lil bigger...we just get spoiled by Bats and Flash's...and only Flash actually refrences his crew routinly as a 'gallery'

He's got Mandarin, Justin Hammer, Crimson Dynamo, Ultimo, Fin Fang Foom, Titanium Man, Madame Masque, Iron Monger, and a bunch of henchmen-baddies (Whiplash, Blizzard, Living Laser, Melter, Unicorn, Spymaster, Dreadknight, etc). It's no Batman/Spidey rogues gallery, but it's not too shabby

I'm glad they're changing it up. As much as I like Crimson Dynamo, using another hulking armored villain too similar to Iron Monger would be bad. In Favs I trust!

I think Favs does understand that people dont' just want to see another villain in a suit. That's why he's mixing Crimson with Whiplash; a little big of Russian, a little bit of the powers/weapons of Whiplash, and not a TOTAL robotic suit but a happy medium.

I also think it'll be Whiplash's personality that will shine in the movie, so I'm not worried if he's going to be a 'bad villain'. Afterall, after the Joker in 'Dark Knight', it's time to up the game.

plus, I think this version of Whiplash ties the plot together: He is Russian and Black Widow is too, plus I'm assuming he'll be working for Justin Hammer. I think in the comics, he has worked for Hammer a number of times.

Flash? Really? I always thought his was mediocre at best.

Spidey & Bats I understand, though they have more than their fair share of turkey's as well(Mad Hatter, Harley Quinn, The Spot, Vulture).

And yes The Flash's villain has gotten better due to Geoff John's run.

I agree the whole rogue war thing stepped Flash's villains up a level IMO.

Valid points on both counts. Wouldn't surprise me if that is the case.

That said, I hope the release a pic at Comic Con.

On another note, does anyone else think that they're going to connect Whiplash and Black Widow in any way? Especially if Chewy's idea of a reimagined Ivan Petrovich becoming Whiplash turns out to have some truth to it. Where they could keep the aspect of Petrovich being Nathasha's trainer at one point.
