I think the Comic art done for Whiplash was done differently from the film for the purpose of it being a comic . You can do whatever you want. In the movies I think it'll look very similar, just more practical and realistic.

No I'm not Octoberist. And I'll tell you why.

Mickey Rourke. Mickey Rourke is one of the greatest actors of the decade. Mickey Rourke who played MARV in Sin City. Played Randy The Ram in The Wrestler. Was super cool to me when I met him at Wrestlemania 25.

Mickey Rourke is in the movie as Whiplash. Whiplash as a comic character had a costume and a mask that resembled a gimp mask. And those were GOOD STORIES for Iron Man. Check out the Quesada and Busiek runs some time.

Now . . . you have Mickey Rourke who has done it all. Mickey Rourke playing Whiplash. And now you have an opportunity for Mickey Rourke to wear a gimp mask on film. HOW COULD YOU NOT WANT TO FREAKING SEE THAT! Mickey Rourke as a gimp mask wearing supervillain! That's awesome!

Stop sleeping on the idea of awesome gimp villains. Remember Scorpious from Farscape? GIMP MASK!

Bad reviews. Underperformed. Alan Moore was right. They wouldn't give Comedian his gimp mask.

Doesn't matter. Jeffrey Morgan wouldn't have done the Comedian gimp mask justice anyway.

They don't work, you are right. Maybe a ski mask w/o the zipper-lips would work.

Are you kidding? Watchmen is probably the most faithful comic book adaption I've ever seen. Not to mention one of the best movies I've seen. If you are seriously going to cry because Comedian didn't use a dumb gimp mask in ONE scene, then please just don't post anymore. JDM's performance, as well as everyone else in the film, ESSPECIALLY Jackie Earle Haley, did amazing in their roles and played them perfectly. Although I will admit Malin Akerman sucked.

I too thought Watchmen was great. And I commend Snyder for having the balls to basically say "Hey general audience, **** YOU!!! This is for the fans!" even though that led to the film flopping box office wise.

Well how isn't it true? It was basically a big **** you to the general audiences. There was only a few things changed from the book, which would never appeal to a wide audience.

If your talking about why it failed at the box office then yea it wasn't JUST because it was made primarily for the fans, but that was a big reason for it.
