Iron Man 2 The Official Whiplash Thread

This movie is full of greatness. Whiplash, Black Widow, War Machine, and Iron Man. What can go wrong?

Anyone have the whole transcript of what Vanko says in the trailer? That was a great little monologue

You come from a family of uh, thieves and butchers, and now, like all guilty men you try to re-write your own history and you forget all the lives the Stark family has destroyed. There will be blood in the water and the sharks will come.

Ohh, nice, thanks.

And I agree Randy the Ram didn't die. He just woke up from a heart attack with an accent and tattoos :awesome:

Yeah, I was impressed by his accent. And as anyone who has heard me rail against Sam Worthington knows, accents are important to me.

I really can't wait to see what the do to with his character. He looks like the ultimate badass. Also excited about Sam Rockwell. I know they only showed him once, but it was on the "sharks" line, which leads me to believe his Justin Hammer is going to be one evil bastard in this movie.

This week has been awesome for trailers. Keep 'em coming, Hollywood!

Stark going to visit Vanko in prison?

Would certainly be interesting as to his reason, though I'd guess this is towards the beginning of the film before Vanko becomes Whiplash and tries to kill Stark at the racetrack.

I would assume this is after the racetrack since his eye is cut, and I don't think Vanko is in prison in the shots we see in the trailer. In one shot you see a wooden front door with windows. And why would a prison allow him to have all of that equipment.

Also, people are assuming that the orange jump suit Rourke wears at the track is a prison uniform, but it could easily be a pit crew uniform. My guess is that he's in disguise as a mechanic which is how he gets down onto the track. You can see other guys running around in a similar get up, albeit more red than orange, but there would be multiple pit crews there.

I've got the feeling that Whiplash is going to look like this throught out and there wont be any sort of armor on him though it would be cool. But I'm starting to get used to the idea of him looking like this.
