[BLACKOUT]Oh yeah, he was about to die and he said "you lose Stark". Dude... YOU LOST!!![/BLACKOUT]
[blackout]In Soviet Russia, dying means you win.[/blackout]
I do hope that the "giant metal man villain" gimmick does get put to rest after this film.
That's one thing I don't really like about Iron Man, basically besides Mandarin, all of his villains are giant metal men.
He didnt realise Iron Man could fly
Are you being serious? I thought everybody know Iron Man can fly.
So which was the scene where he had to put a photo of his deseased pet in front of him to have a sad emotion?
Probably for the [blackout]Anton death scene.[/blackout]
Actually it's 2 minutes long and comes immediately after the drone fight with less than a minute break in between them. This kinda stuff just bugs me, sorry. People complain the end fight in IM1 is over too quickly as well even though it's actually quite a bit longer than the oh-so beloved SpideyVSOck train fight. And the end fight with the Joker in TDK also is only about a minute long yet people don't complain about that, oh no. Also the final fight with Ock in SM2 is very, very short. Need I go on?
The problem is they built the whole movie, and basis of the character, on the animosity that Ivan has towards Tony. That's why I liked Ivan's character so much. Ivan and Tony are basically the same person, except one was giving the family legacy of American excess, fame, and fortune, and the other's family legacy was betrayal, exile, and incarceration. They could have used that so well to make an epic final battle.
I hated how the majority of the film is Mickey Rourke looking bored out of his mind. I think Favreau dropped the ball with this. I mean, we saw Iron Man fight War Machine TWICE and both times it seemed longer than the fight with armoured Whiplash. The length of the drone battle should've been used for the climactic Whiplash battle IMO.
I didn't think Rourke looked "bored", per se. I saw it more as quite contemplation. As Hammer is rambling on, you can see Ivan is thinking, "This guy is a complete fool, but he has what I need, so I will play along... for now." (It helps if you read that sentence with a Russian accent.)
