The Official Willem Dafoe/Green Goblin I in Spider-Man 3 Thread!!

i think he'll make another cameo. it makes sense.

I think it would be really awesome if Harry dies on this movie, then in a 4th movie, spidey would fight with venom plus some random villain. In the very end of the 4th movie, we see a silhouette that remind us of GG.
In the 5th movie, we have another villain(I don't know, Lizard maybe...)but with a lot of things leading to a come back of the Real GG Norman Osborn, who wasn't dead at all, and had to watch his only son die fighting with his greatest enemy Spider-Man.

PS: Sorry if I wrote something wrong. I'm from Brazil, so I don't mastered the english language yet...

I'd like Harry to make a costume on his own and having a fixed mirror in which he saw his dad.

Would be cool to see Harry go out and hunt Spidermand and passing the mirror seeing Dafoe in it saying : "Im proud of you son..." then Harry look all confused and heads off on the new Glider.

No they don't need to explain it and he doesnt even need to be in the FOurth if at all he has to be in the shadows.

Just cause he is alive doesnt meen he has to fight or kill spidey or be in the next movie.

Norman was live for so many years behidn the scnes but he was in the shadows the whole time.

I dont want him to be a villain in the fourth if so behind the scnes........
I didn't say he needed to be a villain but the only reason to bring him back would be to have him make an appearance in SM4. Even if he's in the shadows you STILL HAVE TO EXPLAIN how he survived!

Filmwise it's not good storytelling to keep a villain in the shadows with no payoff.

The only way I can see Willem Dafoe in this film is in a flashback or hallucination of Harry's. Otherwise, leave him out, he's dead.

The painting behind Harry looks like a brand new photo. Did Dafoe go to the set to pose for this?

Probably in the "dream sequence" people are speculating about, when the pumpkin bomb goes off by Harry's face. I think Dafoe will show up maybe after Harry wakes up from that dream, if that scene is in the movie.

Have you read the comic con footage description? I don't think its a dream sequence at all.:)

omg i never even realised that was willem dafoe :p

y did no1 ask sam at comic con...

did anyone know about willem dafoe being in sm2 before it hit theatres?
Yes we did. Somehow the whole shooting schedule was leaked on a website before filming started. It was revealed that Curt Conners was going to be in the movie as well as Norman Osborne and Ben Parker.

If i'm not mistaken Felicia Hardy was on that thing as well. At the time she was still in the script i think.

Will everyone please stop pleading for Norman to be alive?! It didn't work well in X3, and would be even worse here. We saw him get impaled by his own glider several times over, bled out of his mouth, and then proceeded to clearly DIE. There was zero chance for survival.
Also, IMO, this is the end of the Goblin trilogy. After this film, IF they do another, they should begin a new story arch. New villains, both internal and external.

Yeah, we'll see Norman in one way or another...

lol we better.. i mean it lol.. i love him as GG

but i also agree he should NOT return from the dead..

i think that, in the same way the goblin spoke to him in his head in SM1, NORMAN should talk to HARRY in his head/mirror etc

Hang on. In the first film, the Goblin was disguised as an old woman in that burning building, right?

So maybe...
in this one...
he's disguised as...

Gwen Stacy.

Really. Think about it. That second or so where Peter realises he's been hitting on ol' rubberface Defoe... It'd be classic. Go on. You know it.
