ok so here's my first manip in almost 2 months. It's a WIP of a poster idea I have. This is also my first try on photoshop. I'm not too happy with the snow effects and also the whole thing looks too Christmasy. Does anyone know any good blood tutorials? The ones I found weren't too helpful.

I needs some advice. I'm rusty.

Man, it looks great, especially for being your first trial in PS.

For the blood thing, I found this tutorial a while ago (it's a lil hard tho). It takes ages to make the blood, and a lot of patience (probably why my trials never really came out that good), but it's the best blood I've seen:

But you can always just use blood brushes, they're more limited but sometimes do the job well enough. You can find 'em on Deviant Art, just download, copy the files to the Brush folder on PS, then on the program click on the brushes palette and choose "Load Brushes"...

Thanks! The girl is Summer Glau from Firefly/Serenity and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The pic is a frankenstein from a couple of different pictures. The picture of Summer is from Terminator (I fixed the fingers and the shadows so the claws would look believable), and I got the background and the rest looking around the internet.
