The Official Yamcha Discussion Thread

Well, here's a thread dedicated to one of the most badass humans in the show (well, at least in Dragon Ball).

 

Looks wise, Joon Park is one of the best casting choices. I await to see how his acting is. :/

 

haven't seen him act, but he looks like a badass in Speed Racer and i've said that he practically looks like Yamcha incarnate. i'm sure he'll be awesome as Yamcha.

 

I can't wait to find out what kind of role Yamcha has in the movie. I'm really hoping he gets to do something big.

He looks like Yamcha & from what I hear he has the physical good for the role as well. I look forward to seeing what Yamcha has to do in the movie.

Anyway, even if he wouldn't win, I'd like to see Yamcha at least attempt to take on King Piccolo.

 

He has a great Yamcha look to him but my only complaint is he is almost 40...They will most likely have to recast him in any sequels

 

well I think this will be the only "big" role he'll have in the DB movies. after Dragonball, he didnt have to big of a role in the series.

Right, it matters little how old someone is, as long as they don't look it. Tobey Maguire was portraying a 17-year-old at age 26. Some people just age well, and Joon is one of them.

Look at Michael J. Fox. For frick sake, he STILL looks like a teenager.

...Well, not really, but you know what I'm saying, heh.

 

yeah but Piccolo is a costume and you can hide age in costumes very very well

well...Joon Park looks like he's about 30, so no need to worry about him. not to mention, i seriously doubt they'll be making sequels to this movie 10 years from now when he's pushing 50.

Yeah their ages aren't too much of a problem. I just find it amazing how Marsters is still in great shape even at 45. A lot of people just stop caring about how they look when they get to that age.

 

I wonder if Bulma and Yamcha will do their thing together?

 

Well, if they don't, I don't think many people will care.

 

I'm expecting Yamcha to have some sort of fight with Goku, or to fight some henchmen, or for him to get pummeled at the World Tournament. Any would be fine

I just hope we see some sort of Wolf Fang Fist at one point

 

I'm just glad Yamcha is in the movie. Krillin didn't meet Goku till half way through Dragon Ball and didn't really play much of a part in the Picoloo series so I guess I can understand why he's not in the movie. But Yamcha deserves a big roll along with Bulma. So I hope its big..
The actor does look like the character I guess.
