No, it doesn't vibrate.
Marvel Directory said:
Wakandan Vibranium, though as yet unknown means, absorbs vibratory energy in its vicinity, such as sound waves, with in itself. The apparent observable vibratory rate of the molecules of the Vibranium itself does not increase when the Vibranium absorbs mechanical energy. The outside vibratory energy is stored within the bonds between the molecules making up the Vibranium. As a result, a chunk of Vibranium, which has absorbed a considerable amount of vibratory energy, would be exceedingly hard to demolish. If enough force were applied to this chunk to smash it the Vibranium would explode, releasing much of the absorbed energy.
It makes sense. If vibranium vibrated more when it absorbed energy, Cap's shield would probably shake apart or shake so much it broke his arm after one good punch from the Hulk.

I've always wondered how much impact the shield could really absorb without any of it transferring to Cap's arm. For example, could he hop out of planes with no parachute and land on it without injury? It'd have to absorb almost all of the impact from the fall completely, rather than transferring a lot of it into his legs.

i can imagein something really cheesy with that situation, like him gliding to earth using his shiled as a surf board or something.

BTW, the artist for YOUNG AVENGERS/RUNAWAYS, Stefano Caselli, draws for Devil's Due G.I. JOE ELITE and seems to be a functional artist for this sort of thing. No Bachelo or Scottie Young's here.

Oh, I agree, but at least he's on covers. And apparently still on YOUNG AVENGERS itself, whenever it ships.

I like my art super-realistic(Cassiday, Hitch) or rather cartoony(McKone, Bagley). I usually stay away from middleground of the two, but I like JRjr, and Daniels is awesome but he's a bit Liefieldian. That line-y shading thing bugs me. I really hate Miyazawa. I like Jim Lee's work on DC but not his X-Men, and I like Ross and Del'otto painted. Quitely's alright. I hate Finch, but he's suited for the new Moon Knight series perfectly, so I don't mind that. I hate all of this new CGI art, and the only kind of real dimensionalistic art that I like is McNiven(the guy's stuff, even his sketches, seem kind of three dimensional)and Alphona has a touch of that.

I like this girl's art. I think it'll fit the series.

I was jsut reading issue six and patriot's shield was blocking kangs shots and when he gets shot by the kree it goes right thru it WTF? Wasn't that shield destroyed by mr. hyde 10 years before young avengers even started? Even if Patriot was taking Mgh he got shot in issue 2 and didn't even seemed phased. Would his eyes turn green or is that only in Daredevil that Mgh does that?:o :o

MGH has a different effect depending on the person. But more often than not you'll just get enhanced strength and durability for an hour or so.

I was looking through my dissasembled tpb and found a shot of wanda with her kids,i think it should be noted that she states clearly "no one will ever take you away from me again".I think since she she caused house of M and mutants to nearly die out she could have kept those to here.

Yeah, it's pretty inconsistent. She resurrected lots of people like Gwen Stacy, Uncle Ben, etc. in her craziness for House of M, but the whole reason she went insane in the first place was because she couldn't create some kids for herself? Odd.

We'll have to wait and see whether Billy and Tommy are really Wanda's kids, I guess.

Well, that and the fact that her powers were a major burden on her. Plus, it's not like the crazyness is something recent. She went crazy a few times in the past, most notebly when she nearly destroyed the world after Vision "died" the first time around. And really, I think the fact that her kids were gone was just the begining of her decent into no come back crazy land.

Victor's not Doom's kid.

SHHH! His book's a defect, he doesn't know that yet.
There's a real nice hardcover ("Runaways vol.1 hardcover") that collects the first 18 issues. Or, you can get these 18 issues in digests 1, 2, and 3. Digest 4 is the defect you have, and I liked that story, so I'd reccomend getting another. It collects Runaways vol. 2 #1-6. Digest 5 just came out, which is Runaways vol.2 #7-12.

I've listed the trade paperbacks as digests for 2 reasons:
1) They're in digest form(tiny manga book form, but read american style) There's no change to the story whatsoever, they're just tiny little graphic novels that are similar in size to a regular book. A bit bigger than, say, a Harry Potter paperback.
2) There's so far been Runaways in two "volumes"(or seasons if you want to be trendy like Marvel). Listing storyline volumes and trade paperback volumes would be confusing.
