But Dawn of the Dead was a post-apocalyptic world filled with zombies. I'm pretty sure what Snyder means is that what makes Superman extraordinary is the ordinary world he's surrounded by. So the people will be normal, work by day, use their time to themselves by night, as opposed to hiding from/being zombies, being part of a 300-strong army, living in a world where superheroes are a common thing. There's our world, then there's Superman.

That's how I took it too. But his Krypton had better look amazing and be a Utopia.

I think Snyder must've read my post about wanting the Superman movie to look/feel real.

I think it's clear that he means realistic as in it will be shot more like a conventional movie, and won't come out looking like 300 or Sucker Punch.

Exactly thats what I was trying to pointing out. Change in visual tone. All those three comics I mentioned by the way have three distinct "realistic" visual references.

Realistic tones differ from one another by the way is all I was pointing out. Just hoping he takes more cues from Birthright and For Tomorrow visually (overall color palette) vs the realistic yet very ugly washed out look of Earth One.

Yeah I know Earth one had some faults but it brought some interesting things to the table.I mean it was better than Sucky-Secret Origin.
And that Reviewer is overlooking the good things

Yes, this is definetely what Snyder meant. And I think it makes sense that he chooses to do Superman that way instead that of the Suckerpunch / 300 style, I completely approve.

I'm loving all these little Superman interviews everyone's managing to squeeze in. Even when we don't get much new info, I still like it.

So Cavill's been training on his own for about a month now, and on the 1st will start his hardcore training here. I think I read somewhere Gerard Butler had 2 or 3 months to put on all his muscle mass for 300. Sounds good
