Cracking game between Real and Villarreal, ended up 4-2 to Madrid, Ronaldo scored his 4th hat-trick of the season, he has now scored 64 goals in 62 games for Real Madrid.

Yeah and he also served up the Kaka goal on a silver platter.

I actually respect Walcott for being upfront about it.
Yeah, I don't think this is part of his game...more a one-off spur of the moment mistake. I'm guessing he's admitted it knowing he did something wrong that he doesn't usually do & is ashamed of it. Certainly don't hear any of the guys who dive 20 times every game ever owning up even when it's obvious to everyone.

Walcott's honesty after the event redeems a big part of the cheating in my book, on the proviso he doesn't do it again.

didnt sound like he was ashamed of it, he was laughing and said he joked with the ref about it at the end!

Didn't get a chance to post after match, thought it was quite a flat game in truth football wise. Wasn't as firey a tie as the usual Manchester United v Liverpool games are in terms of being back & forth.

After seeing the Berbatov penalty decision on TV replays I thought it was quite soft. I read comments on Sky Sports website beneith game reports & of course as you'd expect Liverpool fans are claiming it was a dive & United fans are content it was a good decision..

I'll happily admit it was a soft penalty, however it wasn't a dive. There was definate contact & if you watch the foot in which Agger caught him on, the so called 'step' the match commentators claimed Berbatov made after the contact wasn't actually a step at all.. infact his foot was so awkwardly placed he'd have probably done himself damage if he'd tried at all costs to stay on his feet.. It was a trip & in my view it was somewhat of a soft penalty, however they have been given before & had this been a John Terry tackle on the halfway line it would have been a foul so.. it is what it is.

The Gerrard tackle was more of a definitive decision, it was reckless, dangerous & had it hit Carrick any higher up the shin we'd probably be talking about a leg breaker challange. Definate red card.

Football wise, I felt we more just controlled the game throughout. When Gerrard went off we stretched Liverpool & used our man advantage to help create chances, we where unlucky not to at least nab a second goal with one of our chances. Liverpool didn't really threaten at all I felt, alot of their shots were really nothing chances from outside the box..

The sending off kinda killed game, had Liverpool been at 11, I'm sure they'd have been a little more open & come at us, however due to the fact they were at 10 they where always on the back foot.

Thats pretty ****, the diving ****...:argh: We would have won. Seriously though thats not a laughing matter and to make it worse he was joking with the ref about it as well...:cmad:

I don't condone it at all, but it does seem to come across as murder whenever it concerns us (i.e. Eduardo-gate). When Drogba and Ronaldo were to do it week in and week out before, nothing was said. In this instance, at least justice was served, as in he didn't get the penalty decision for the dive.

the king questioned about ryan babels twitter comments (and picture) "What do you make of Babel's Twitter comments?"

"It's a bit of fun obviously"

:D

he has been taking the piss this press conference, such a welcome after Roy's ones
a few other beauts:

"I can't wait for our next league game. Holloway beware, you're funny, but you will be my first victim"

Martin Kelly was as good as what we had on the pitch yesterday and he's only a young lad. The players were disappointed but they tried'

Also said that he has spoken with owners and that they are looking for a manager and if they find one he will be more than happy to step down (at the end of the season) but if he does well and they want him to continue he will

its good to have a manager that understands the club again!!!

Won't get into Webb's decisions (no good can come of it), all I'll say is that we were playing infinitely better ball before the red than we ever did under Roy. I've seen enough to have confidence in Kenny.

Have to laugh at the Maude Flanders brigrade and their moral crusade against Ryan Babel, ****ing hell. :whatever:

You never did something wrong and laughed about it later? It's not like he killed someone here. He owned up to it and made a joke, can't say the same about any other divers.

Police injured and 18 arrested at Old Trafford during United v Liverpool FA Cup clash

According to what I've heard at least 15 of the arrests where Liverpool fans who started vandalising the away end of Old Trafford, ripping up seats & throwing bottles/coins at United fans who where beneith them.

That being said I'd love to slap whoever had the bright idea of sticking a portion of the Liverpool fans on the upper tier of the East stand.. it was bound to happen if the result didn't go their way.

I also heard that they demolished the toilets & inner shop(s) badly as well..

Disgraceful to be honest, no excuse for destroying & vandalising the stadium no matter the scoreline.. probably for the best England didn't get the World Cup when there are morons like this running about.

I'd assume one of the arrests was the United fan that invaded the pitch to celebrate with Giggs as well.

A United fan invaded the pitch? I know one did for the City game... but wasn't aware it hat happened at OT as well...

It was noticed after the draw that the liverpool fans had been kept in the ground... it wasn't till later that the arrests and the toilet trashing was revealed...

I hate the fact that the Disabled section is positioned right under the away fans...

Cameras might not have picked it up but a fan definatly was on the pitch, he was rugby tackled by about 4 stewards & dragged off the pitch. :woot:

According to Sky Sports Ryan Babel has been charged with improper conduct by the F.A., something to do with some sort of Howard Webb comment/picture he posted on his twitter account..

Sadly all teams have this element amongst their fanbase, I recall United having a group smash up the kiosk at Barnsley in 09.

Jeez where'd you get that picture from? That's bad ****, I wonder what the rest of it looked like. I was told they smashed all the toilets/cubicles & did a number on the shop area just outside this as well.. absolutely disgraceful.

I was also told that a large number of the seats & objects thrown from the idiots responsible landed close to the disabled section of Old Trafford.. which not only housed disabled Manchester United fans & neutrals, but Liverpool fans as well.

Without question, I'm certainly not proclaiming United hoodlums have never been responsible for such acts of idiocy. Really is no call for such acts of ******ation regardless of events on the pitch.

with where the disabled section is, i'm not surprised they were almost hit by the loons that were throwing things...

like to point out that according to my mate (who is a manc fan) a load of united fans closest to the away end were the ones who started throwing things into the away end after giggs converted the penalty - not condoning things being thrown back, but putting it in context

Those people are not fans, they're thugs. Regardless of their affiliation, they're criminals.
