Jack Wilshere looking very good tonight for a young player.

Yes, this Barcelona team has better quick passing throughout the whole team than any other team I can think of in my time watching football.

is it just me or is Van Persie messing up every chance he gets?

412 passes from Barcelona (83% accuracy!) as the away team Vs 203 for Arsenal! But Arsenal playing well again 2nd half.

van persie!

didnt think they would get back into it but there you go!

top class keepers should never get beat at the near post like that

Absolutely outstanding pass from Fabregas to unleash Nasri, I thought he'd ****ed that up by taking it so far wide but he kept his cool & laid a perfect pass for Arshavin with an outstanding finish.

That van Persie goal really has changed the second half which had been fairly bland in comparison to the first half which was pretty much end to end stuff.

Another goal would be wonderful for Arsenal.

2-1, a good comeback, but it's gonna be absolute hell for Arsenal at the Camp Nou. Possible of course, but judging from tonights performance, I can't see it being anything but a long shot.

This picture made me laugh:

I had a feeling about Spurs. I mean, Robinho and Ibrahimovich were flops at their last clubs and were sold for a reason.

Robinho I agree with, but Ibrahimovic? 21 goals in 41 matches is hardly flop material, especially at this level(but I suppose it is for Barca, so whatever:whatever:). He was still Milan's most dangerous man yesterday and I think the decision to disallow his goal at the end was a soft one. Full marks for Spurs though, they showed no fear, defended well in the second half and scored from a wonderful counter.

Also, great comeback today for Arsenal! The counter for Arshavin's goal was a joy to behold. Also, Villa's goal was not offside, but it hardly matters right now. I'm still thinking Barca have got the upper hand at the Camp Nou, but today Arsenal exposed on of the Spaniards' biggest weaknesses, their goalkeeper. Now I remember Valdes from his very early days for Barca and he's improved a heck of a lot since then, but he'll never be world-class. He was definitely at fault for RvP's goal and I think the goalie position is one of Barca's biggest weaknesses.

Very entertaining game, first half was end to end stuff largely because the passing was quick but wasn't as accurate as it usually is from either side, which actually led to it being even more entertaining.

Messi should have put Barcelona ahead, he scores those little chips quite alot & this was fortunatly for Arsenal one of those rare times he actually misses them. van Persie's finishing was very poor, his goal was actually probably more difficult to convert than any of the previous chances he had.

Jack Wilshere was in my view Arsenal's best player & this was probably his best performance in an Arsenal shirt, he was weaving & bobbing in the middle of the park & looked very assured in possession. I like how confident he is in playing a pass with both feet, he made several accurate left footed passed, fair enough they were at most 15 yards along the ground, but when you are under pressure & using your weaker foot it's impressive/good to see.

Arsenal have a very big mountain to climb though at the Nou Camp, a 1 goal lead is meaningless going there as 1 goal from Barcelona & the whole tie is instantly changed. They're gonna have to go there & grab at least 1 away goal & keep very solid. I'm chuffed for Arsenal & Arsenal fans though, especally given that alot of the press/fans of other teams etc had pretty much written them off before a ball had even kicked & thought it was gonna be a repeat of last year. IF Arsenal manage to knockout Barcelona, think of the confidence that will give the players approaching the run in, in the title race & also progressing further in the Champions League.

Good win for Arsenal. I ****ing hate Barcelona.

honestly its not over by a long shot. barca win 1-0 at home and arsenal are still out

Should have been 2-2. It's still only half-time though, there's still plenty of time for the majority consensus to get what they want...

Great result Arsenal!! Showed heart to come back into it & created plenty of chances. Really entertaining match by two sides who play really good football. Still Barcelona I expect are favourites to go through with this scoreline.

Well Done Arsenal, great game....

Not spectacularly interesting to you folk's I know, but I just wanted to share my 6-a-side team with you all! That's me on the bottom right.

Last night we won 3 matches in a row, 5-2, 2-1, and then 4-0, so a good night overall! :woot:

Also, kinda hoping that Arsenal atleast put up a good fight against Barca. Should be a good game, I have a feeling Barca will play more defensively this time around, draw Arsenal out into open space. Just a hunch though.
Is it me or do the 3 guys at the back look like a young Gary Pallister, a young Glen Roader and Alan Smith with black hair?? LOL......:woot:
